Joining the (in Sazzie's words) ranks of maintaindom...

and...feeling excited and nervous at the same time. First of all a big THANK-YOU to the Budds that have already congratulated me and also helped me along the way. I know I shouldn't be nervous to make the switch because I know I can go right back to my WL rotation anytime I need to!

I am asking for any and all helpful tips from my precious BUDDS that are on that beautiful (Sophie's pic) road. I will so enjoy hearing from you all and with a thankful !heart!!

Congrats! You'll be fine - just do what you know to do! If you goof up - easy peasy. Just go back on rotation!

Congrats on reaching maintenance!

You can loosen up a bit and enjoy a few more cals on your dd's if you wish, or keep them tight and loosen up the UD's. Just play around with it and see what makes you most comfortable and seems most 'livable' to you. Try to keep DD cals no more than 50% of UD though to keep sirt flowing.

Maybe decide on a trigger weight, that if you reach it, you will go back to strict 500 cal DD's and watching UD cals until you are under again.

You might even be able to have FD's, or UD's on both weekend days. There's so much flexibility. Find what fits with your life, and LIVE.

Hello, Texas neighbor. I've been maintaining easily by being strict with my DD calories still (no more than 600) and I've been able to eat pretty freely on my UDs. I don't know if it's the SIRT1 gene doing it for me, but it sure is magic!

Thanks everybody!!! I'm liking what I'm hearing!! The trial and error will be fun. It's a wonderful thing knowing how well you guys are doing with this. How could there be anything better? Again, thanks for the encouraging words!

Laurie, isn't it cool that there are quite a few Texans JUDDDing!! How many cals do you think you have on an average UD? Need a smilie with a cowboy hat I guess! or some longhorns or something!!

For quite awhile, I was limiting my UD cals to 1800-1900, and lost weight that way, but the past few weeks, it's probably been more like 2400-2500. Yesterday I went nuts and ate everything not nailed down, and was up 2 pounds. I bet most of it is gone tomorrow, though. That seems to be my pattern. I am well under goal, so it doesn't bother me to go up and down a few.

And welcome to the exciting world of Maintenance.

Surprises lie in wait for you, and we occasionally stumble, but with JUDDD it is so easy to adjust and see our goal again. You may even find, like a lot of us, that you still see some losses. Like you, my DH has called halt on me now!

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Phyl, you already know how happy I am for you, but am saying it again!

You may see a drop in the scale even while maintaining! Most of us have and maybe that isn't a hoot!

Congrats, Phyl! This is so exciting, and I'm glad to share the joy with you!

You've been given great advice. I know you will take to maintenance with ease. Just give yourself a nice range to bounce up and down. Let us know if you have any questions and keep us updated how you're doing. If I think of anything to add for tips and tricks, I'll post again. So happy for you, my JUDDD bud!
