I Did It, I Did It -- DAY ONE of JUDD!

My First Day on JUDD has been completed!

I chose a Down Day! I was aiming for 500 calories -- I slid over the line at 517 and I am happy with that for Day One! Thankfully it wasn’t that difficult to manage.

By dinner time I was hungry. It worked out well to have the Costco soup on hand. It was fast to make and looked like a lot of food! Adding the hot sauce really perked it up and made it more satisfying, an idea I read on this forum.

Last week I had a bad cold and didn’t get around to planning menus, but I couldn’t resist starting the new month on JUDD and it worked out. My first DD went like this:

Breakfast: 130 calories
One piece whole wheat toast
˝ Tablespoon Peanut Butter
Mug of Tea

Lunch: 110 calories
2 ounces poached skinless chicken breast
3 ounces lettuce
2/3 tablespoon Lite Rice Vinegar

Snack: 72 calories
9 ounces Pico de Gallo (who says it can’t be a salad!)

Snack: 3 calories
Mug of Tea

Dinner: 160 calories
Can of Costco Chicken Noodle Soup
Teaspoon of Frank’s Hot Sauce

Snack: 45 calories
Apple Slices sprinkled with cinnamon

Thanks for letting me share!

And..... she's on her way!!!!!

Now, enjoy your UD today and come back and tell us about that as well.

That's all there is to it.

As you get more DDs under your belt, you'll fine tune the foods and beverages that help you the most, and your appetite/hunger cycle will change in your brain, so the DDs will become very manageable and easy.

Pretty exciting to know you are going to become slim, isn't it. JUDDD works for almost all who do it, and it's awfully easy to do, so.....
Best wishes, Pat

Great job! They get easier after the first one (although there is the occasional one that you just want to put some salt on your arm and start gnawing, LOL).

Enjoy your UD today! That's one of the wonders of JUDDD, you only have to be deprived for one day. The next day, you eat!

Tina--wife to my dh for 24 years and mom to 4 great kids. JUDDD reboot to lose the nearly 20 pounds gained in the past 2 years.

You've made a great start. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.

Hunger is not an emergency.

It's not what you eat between Christmas and New Year that makes you fat, it's what you eat between New Year and Christmas.

Excellent!!! You can do it! I did a down day first too, thought it was going to be hard but it was pretty easy (I went over by 15 calories...calculating error). I can't wait to see how much you lose at the end of this week!

Exercise 4x per week.
Drink more water (80+ oz per day)

Great start!!

GOAL 10/3/12
Still at goal 2/6/13
Changed to LCHF after becoming diabetic in 9/13 (Lost 15 more pounds).
STILL below goal 11/21/15

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

I'm a newbie too! Isn't it amazing that you think-- OMG, 500 calories, I'm going to die!!! And then you DON'T!
And you actually feel ok, and you realize this is going to be a do-able thing!
