I just got my first order from Netrition. I think I'm going to love placing regular orders!
Got my ideas from reading people's posts. So I now have gluc powder, 2 kinds of Davinci syrup, oat groats, coconut sugar...shirataki noodles... Have not tried any of them yet!! But I'm excited to have 'em. Things I've decided I cannot live without are Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Nutiva brand, cold pressed, yum!!!) and Oat bran for sure.

Still have most of a pound of glucomannan flour, okay there.
I don't do artificial anything so no artificially sweetened stuff on my list. Oat bran v. Oat fiber.. isn't oat fiber the non caloric one for down days? I've only had the angel hair shirataki (I like the black ones) and the "rice" (gag) What are the opinions on the fettucini? Wouldn't think the cut would make that much difference but I hate the texture of those globs of rice.

I didn't jump for joy when I tried the rice either. Didn't stop me from eating it though! I have fettucini but haven't tried it yet. Just the angel hair.
Just looked up the oat fiber - that doesn't have any calories. What do you use it for?

the oat fiber is for one-minute-muffins (see the DD recipe sticky) and for adding to foods for bulk and fiber.
It is cheaper on netrition so I thought I'd better do a full order for the flat shipping rate. I'm feeding the "rice" to hubby. He hasn't complained yet.

btw, had the best hot cereal this morning. warmed up my chia almond milk, some hemp seeds, and some raw buckwheat granola. nom
I HATE buckwheat, but it is the best source of a b vitamin that helps with pcos, so I eat the dratted stuff. the hot cereal made it tolerable, except for two clumps. so bitter.

Coconut palm sugar has a fab caramel flavor for anything you want that in. I use it in place of brown sugar in baking. Hubby has a shaker of it that he uses on hot cereal. Pretty on baked custards.

I thicken with glucomannan for DD foods that need thickening and like it a whole LOT better than the gums, which add a weird taste to foods, in my opinion.

So, I ordered some and have not used it yet because I just received my stash yesterday. However, I have a killer oatmeal cookie recipe and it calls for brown sugar. I'm wondering if I use coconut oil in place of butter and the coconut sugar in place of brown sugar if it will turn out yummy. Gonna play around with that probably tomorrow on my UD. I'll let everyone know if it turns out great. If it's yucky I just won't mention it. ![]() ![]()
