Another good fasting post...

over at Mark's Daily Apple. This one looks at how fasting can help with cancer and cancer treatment.

Forgive me if it's been posted already.

Yes, fasting is supposed to cause the body to search out itty bitty tumors before we are even able to notice them. And then apparently those tiny new imperfections are wiped out. Actually, I think the fasting forces the body to search throughout itself for any tissue that could be sacrificed and used for energy, and any badly formed or abnormal tissue is the first to go. It's attacked and used for energy. Our body sort of *eats* it for lunch.

I look forward to read Mark's ongoing articles about fasting. I enjoyed his first article.

The same goes for muscle. So many people worry that they might be losing muscle which they believe is a bad thing. But unless you are fasting to extremes and not building new muscle by keeping active it's a good thing as the muscle you are losing will be replaced by new healthy tissue versus the old, damaged or somehow inferior tissue that gets lost.

I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.
