Steak Calorie Question
I have been eating NY Strip Steak. 4-5 oz at a time depending on the day...
I know there are plenty of online calculators. I weigh my steak raw, actually I weigh everything in it's raw state. I think cooked weight has more fluctuation depending on how "well done" you cook your food.
I have found NY Strip raw -0" where I cut ALL the separable fat off. For 50 calories an oz. I have seen it as low as 40 calories an oz.
Sirloin too, either at 40 or 50 an oz.
I made a Philly Steak Wrap today with 4 oz of NY Strip in it and counted the meat portion of the wrap at 215 (I like to over estimate)
How do you count your steak calories??

For lean meat and poultry I always count 50 calories per ounce.
Sirloin is leaner than NY strip, I think. I looked it up and it is 50 calories per ounce, so an 8 ounce serving would be 400 calories for sirloin. I usually have 3 ounces, so 150 calories. (and yes, the longer you cook it the less fat it will contain).

I weigh everything raw also.
Pretty much a lean steak is around that 50cals per ounce mark, but it depends on the marbling, too.
But, I'm guessing a few calories either way isn't going to make-or-break the plan
