Do You Ever "NOT" Believe Your Scale?

I thought of this today when, after a UD where I ate out most of the day without counting my calories and KNOWING I probably ate right through and WAY beyond my UD calorie ceiling, I stepped on the scale only to find was only up .6 pounds from my weight after the last UD!

How can this be? The scale is broken? I'm not fulling stepping on the scale with all my weight? Well, the list of "reasons" went on and on until I took a 5 pound weight and weighed it!

No problem with the scale, that weight is 5 pounds, so it's just a problem in MY head and believing that I can REALLY eat like this on occasion, have the BEST day with friends and family not worrying about eating the yummy food I wanted , and STILL maintain my weight!

And all because of JUDDD!!
A man asked Gautama Buddha, "I want happiness." Buddha said, "First remove "I," that's Ego, then remove "want," that's Desire. See now you are left with only "Happiness.”

Beeb: I hear ya! I actually felt that way this morning. I ate right up to my 1900 UD calorie limit yesterday. Lots and lots of carbs including a bowl of oatmeal right before bed! Late last night. (a bit scary since I usually limit them, but am trying to tap into the knowledge of what I know about how important those nutrients are).

Anyway, I hit a new "low" -high this morning, if you know what I mean. My high weight after UDs has been getting lower and lower. This was the lowest. I'm goin' down! I really, really am! It's real!

This happens to me frequently now. My weight is staying incredibly steady, even after Up, Up and Away Days. If you'd told me a couple of months back that this would happen to ME, I would probably not believe you. I'm a believer now!

Stable as she goes!

I've had more UUAD than I'd like, but yet the scale says the same most days. It's when I have those salty crunchy cravings that I see a temporary gain.

TODAY I don't believe it. After a DD I am so puffed up I can't even wear my watch so although the scale is up, it is a lot of water which I am still trying to figure out where it came from on a DD. I didn't eat enough to get THAT much salt. Got the old lemons out again. Tomorrow should look good.

A little nervous about my first week's weigh-in on tomorrow morning - today is an UD and I'm going to my sister in law's church where they have a big function, and I was told that there would be lots and lots of food, including dessert! I'm bringing my water bottle with me so I can continue getting my water in today!! I'm hoping for a loss, even if it is a little one!!

I so wish I could do an UUAD day and not have the scale show a terrible gain. Sigh, maybe someday!

Today, we had breakfast at an Irish pub and I shared both a shepherd's pie and banana-chocolate chip bread pudding with DH. I am so stuffed. This is an improvement over what I've done in the past, though. I'd eat the whole meal by myself. I have the worst time leaving something!
