Thinking of trying it

Hi, I started a very low carb diet at the beginning of Feb. I'm 5'2 and weighed 141 lbs when I started. In the first 10 days I got down to 131 and have stayed there ever since bobbing up and down a bit here and there. I'm thinking of trying JUDDD because low carb doesn't seem to be working too well. Did anyone start JUDDD with similar stats to mine? At what rate did the weight come off? I know I don't have a massive amount to lose so it will hardly just fall off. Just wanted to hear your successes!

I started 1/19 and I've lost 16lbs. I'm 1lb past goal. That's fast to me!

Wow! That's amazing! Did you switch from low carb, or do you continue with low carb and juddd? If you don't mind me asking, do you take much exercise or is it all from JUDDD. Very encouraging! I'm from Ireland so I think I'll just be enjoying my Paddy's day and then down to work straight away after.

I did low carb from March 2011 until I switched to JUDDD. I started eating carbs again pretty quickly. It did feel funny eating carbs and having the scale go down! I do exercise about every day.
I think you will really like juddd. Give it a try! And enjoy Paddy's day!

JUDDD is well worth trying. I think many folks have similar stats to you.

Like JB I did LC until I started JUDDD and love the ease of having them back in my life.

I am 5'3 but in my 60s so I don't want to go any lower than I am now, already 2 to 4 lbs under goal.

I only had 7 or so pounds to lose, took around 5 weeks and I have kept losing...

Hello Stitch ! WELCOME !

When I first JUDDDed last year I was the same as you !
I started around 142, I did LC (vegetarian) for 3 or 4 weeks, stalled around 138 and then got down to 127 JUDDDing (with carbs) in less than a month

... I got back to 142 this year but that's just because I'm a food blogger and i spend most of my time cooking !

now i'm doing pure JUDDDing, it's been almost a month and i'm 6.5lbs down

Thank you all for your responses! Your stories are so encouraging. I think JUDDD is definitely the way to go now. I've also been doing low carb as a vegetarian and a diet of eggs and limited veggies has gotten really old, especially when I haven't seen any results in over a month. I'll be starting JUDDD very soon and let yee all know how it goes.

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

Start Date: JUDDD 1/1/12 + LCHF 12/1/13 (controlling diabetes)
I lost 7 pounds the first two weeks of lc. The next 2.5 months I lost and regained the same five pounds, oh, a zillion times. 2.5 months JUDDDing and another 16 pounds gone. Slow but steady is so much better than whatever caused me to stall on lc!

Yes, I eat starchy and sweet carbs. Not every day because I like meat and love being able to eat lots and lots of veggies.

Nancy, I hope I have the success you've had! I'm around 175 now & had gotten down to 159 but then quit smoking. I'm hoping to be back there by summer, now I know it can be done!!!

Susan, I hope I have the success YOU had! Quitting smoking is next on my agenda.

My best advice:
Experiment with formerly 'forbidden' foods carefully. Watch how your body reacts to them. Some may make you hungry at first. If they do, put them on hold for a few weeks then try them again. JUDDD Magic increases and changes things over time.

OK, got way off track for about three weeks. Ate whatever I wanted, and I mean I seriously over did it!My weight bobbed up and down a little bit over this little binge but somehow I started JUDDD today at 133.5!I definitely should have put on a whole lot more. I'm certainly not complaining but I am going to behave! Its 8:30pm here and so far I haven't eaten anything. I'm very hungry but in a calm way, it isn't really bothering me at all. I have a 450 cal meal planned in a little while and then early to bed as I'm working early tomorrow. Anyway, just wanted to check in and update. Feeling very motivated!

Welcome back! The good news too is that any water weight gain from returning carbs to the diet is already there . . . so it's just lower numbers on the scale from here!

Thanks Joyce, I'm astounded I didn't gain more water weight from all those carbs, it really baffles me, I normally pile on weight all too easily. Hopefully the carbs won't slow me down much but if they do it's OK. I want carbs in my life, I love them so!
