Don't You Just Want to Tell the World About JUDDD

I was thinking that at lunch today. I work with a lot of woman (nursing home) and in break room most are on "diets". One now she is eating some shake thing and apple every lunch. She was bragging today how the scale is starting to move and its starting to work. I sat there, not saying anything thinking JUDDD.. JUDDD.... JUDDD I am losing and eating things I love also. Just making them in my calorie parameters. I would love to tell everyone how easy and great it is.

However, this particular one I will not, she knows EVERYTHING already.

I've told a few friends about it and I think they think I'm crazy. I'm like, no seriously, this works. I have *NEVER* been in control before and I hate dieting, but I don't feel like I'm dieting and the scale is moving!!! I have to at least try to tell them though...I feel like it's my civic duty! But, if they think I'm crazy, that's ok, I'll be the crazy girl who loses weight eating what she likes and feeling in control.

DD80 - So true. I have been on so many diets, that now, I am not even telling anyone what I am doing. This morning when I weighed in and lost the second week in a row i thought, WOW this is working.

If someone asks I will tell them.

After I reached a certain age, I developed a loner attitude I guess. I don't care what people think and I don't care what other people do. Harsh?? probably but I just worry about myself and my family.
My DH could never follow JUDDD. But he is losing weight by cutting portion sizes and eliminating some of the high fat foods and substituting apples for snacks rather than cheese and turkey Subway sandwiches in place of sausage. There are many diet options.
My favorite thing about JUDDD is that no food is forbidden. After LC'ing for so long that is a blessing.
I personally would take offense if someone tried to tell me how to diet so I keep my mouth shut.

adillenal - I think that is how I am getting or have got. I have never pushed a plan on anyone and I won't this one either.

I too enjoy the "freedom" from being on a low carb and or fat free plan.

I sure do and when I do all I ever hear is: OMG, that is not enough calories for me or I HATE counting calories.

YET, people go out of their way to figure out what they CAN'T eat, how to change a recipe to make it doable for them on another WOE or just delete whole food groups to make a diet work!

This ^^^^ seems like a heck of a lot more trouble (and was for me doing LC) then just eating a restricted calorie diet every other day!

I remember all of the time and money I wasted on buying wierd ingredients to make a faux something that tasted awful. Much prefer the real thing. Every other day of course. Counting calories is very easy for me.

i agree with you both, on LC was can't eat this or that and worried about what/where we ate. on WW eating all FF or low fat foods.

Counting calories and lower every other day is so workable. I at first didnt think I could do it, but once I did, not turning back now. So life friendly and palette friendly.

I always think options are a good thing! It is nice to have all the options and be knowledgeable about a few different Ways of eating and choose what fits best for you!

WOE: JUDDD for life, baby!!
Start Date: Feb 2009; RESTART: Nov. 2011 as EX-LCer
I want to tell everyone, as well. But, I don't. Everyone thinks "eating that few calories is unhealthy--it's not good for you," "counting calories is so hard," etc.
I think people who think counting calories is difficult are those who have not been able to/have not known about new technology, like an app for your iPhone, etc., that make it SOOO easy to count. I, too, hated counting calories, until I found JUDDD and ************ for my phone. I had no idea it could be like this
The fact that you can search for an item or scan the barcode and instantly have the calories come up is a far cry from the "counting calories" of the "old days."
I choose not to discuss JUDDD unless I am specifically asked questions about it.

************ app has been a lifesaver that is for sure! Makes counting so much easier and eye opening also.

An easy weight-loss plan
Eat lots one day
Rest from the fray
Repeat it all again

I'd like to save the world from fear

A little here
A lot more there
Your body knows what's what!

That's the way it is...
JUDDD Buddds!
Calorie cycling...
Up Day, Down Day!

And do-able
And really trims the bu...waist!!
