Playing with the calculator
Bit surprised at what I just found while playing with the Juddd calorie calculator.
I'd only really looked at the calculator at 50% maintenance levels. I thought I'd check out 55% and 60% too.....I had expected that both DD and UD numbers would increase - WRONG while my DD number goes up, it seems that my UD number will stay at 1537 and even get lower the older I get! Oh well, at least I know now!
I was able to jump into JUDDD at maintenance levels only because I'd lost weight in the last few months from unplanned stomach surgeries. Not the ideal way to lose weight, and I'm healthy again now, but JUDDD seems like the perfect way to maintain.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just surprised

WOE: WL=LC then JUDDD/IF; Maintenance=IF/75%+ "healthy"
Start Date: LC 6/11; JUDDD 10/11; Maintenance 11/11
Example, the calculator is giving me 1650 UD calories in 60% maintenance, but I go over this by 200 - 600 calories all the time. It's giving me 990 calories on DD in 60% maintenance, but I tend to stay 700 - 850.
I suppose a person could also borrow from those raised DD calories and apply to UD too, as another option...
Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

Jan, I believe that Pat, So Happy, has been able to push up her UD calories over time.
That is what I am trying to do too. I seldom count on my UDs but am pretty tight on my DDs. If I see an upward trend instead of maintaining on the scales I pull back a bit on my UDs too.
All will be what will be over time. Who knows what we can get out bodies to do with a little TLC and a lot of JUDDD?
Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.
Relax, rotate, reduce, rejoice.
Down Days are the cement that hold JUDDD together.
