Weight is always UP after a fasting DD. Why?
Valentine's Day was an UD. I overdid it, so yesterday I fasted. (I was feeling crappy anyway from a chest cold and didn't feel like eating anyway) Today my weight is way up! The last time I did a fast on a DD my weight was up the next day. WHY??
As of 5/19/2014, No longer "overweight"!
Can now see my xylophone

Sometimes my weight is up after a DD and down after an UD. There is the idea that the food and nutrients you eat on an UD takes longer for your body to process and get through your system than one day, and so the gains or losses may not show up the next day, but the day after.
Also, since you have a cold, your body is fighting it and there is inflammation involved. That will increase water weight. So those who are sick almost always see gains at some point that also leave when you're better. On top of that if you are taking any medication for the cold, this can also cause a temporary gain.
Hope you feel better soon. Take care. The losses will come.
Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

If you're drinking broth on a fasting day, it has a lot of sodium too, and that could cause you to retain water.
I almost never see a loss after a DD. My body usually takes a couple of days to process, and I can hold steady for 3 or 4 days, then drop a bit, and repeat.
JUDDD got me where I want to be!

After several ' huh?? ' morning weigh ins, I decided sometimes my metabolism has a mind of it's own. As long as the weekly trend is down, I have decided to be happy.
Still at goal 2/6/13
STILL below goal 2/15/14
I did not "lose" weight. I evicted it. It is gone and it ain't coming back!
JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

Wish I knew.... As we say here on the JUDDD board, the scale, she bounces.
I had the opposite, after a wild UD I was up 4.5lbs. A moderate DD of around 350 cals I was astonished to have lost 4lbs.
But I won't expect that to happen very often!
Keep on keeping on.
Embrace a little hunger. It is the sign of healing.
Relax, rotate, reduce, rejoice.
Down Days are the cement that hold JUDDD together.
