For anyone asking about carbs...

...and how they affect your scale if you have them on UDs, FYI:

I just wanted to share that so far (been JUDDDing since Nov), my scale only goes up after UDs AT THE MOST by 1 or 1 1/2 lbs. no matter what I eat.
However, yesterday was a UD and I had 4 crescent rolls (yeah--I know--but I was hungry! Each is 100 cals, but I counted them in and did not go over my 1700 for the day, and the scale was up 3 LBS this morning
So, since I have bread and/or sweets here and there on my UDs, the only thing I could figure is that it was too many carbs. I will have to remember not to pig out on rolls anymore.

Yes, in maintenance after most FDs I am up 1 - 2# depending on what I ate.

The only time I've been up more than that is when I overdid the wine, didn't sleep well, was dehydrated, etc. and then I might go up to #5! Thank goodness that is not frequent, and it all comes back off, or most of it back off, after the next DD.

Adding: this is my experience in maintenance. The bounces during WLM were larger, up to 3 or so pounds at times between UDs/DDs.

Started JUDDD 10/12/11 after LC.
MAINTENANCE since 11/12/11, & have lost more weight. I shake things up all the time with my version of Pirate Jenny's MUDDD, my "Fast 5" & other IF. ...low-moderate fat....and eating "healthy" foods 75+% of the time which lets me have real life and indulgences too I've reached my goals, improved my health & appearance, and enjoy my lifetime woe!

I am compiling a list of 'white' carbs to try again later. Either they upset my tummy (wheat/bread) or I seem to be especially hungry the day after I eat them. Fortunately my faves, potato and brown rice, pass the test.

I go up less than a pound after most UDs unless I eat ... Chocolate. Seems a small price to pay and goes away the next DD (well, I haven't actually bathed in it ... yet)

JUDDD cares about calories. JUDDD does not care what you eat. Your body probably does.

WOE: Back to JUDDD 1/5/15
I've only been weighing daily for two weeks. I lose or maintain every single day except for this past weekend. I had a very stressful night Thursday and went a little over on calories and also really strained my thighs (squatting for 2 hours and super high stress), and I was up 0.8 Saturday morning and another 0.8 Sunday morning. The entire 1.6 was gone this morning.

For me it doesn't seem to be related to what I eat at all, but to stress and injury.

When I first started, I would go up a lot of water weight because I was having a lot more carbs than I was accustomed to on some days. I've noticed that the bounces have become smaller and smaller, though, and I'm feeling confident that this WOE will never let me down.

It isn't the weight gain from the carbs that I'm worried about. I just prefer not to add some foods back in, even on UDs.

I have experienced the same thing as Laurie. At first the scale would go up 5lbs in one day with just 100 carbs. Now im eating about 150 on some UDs and the scale only bounces about 2lbs. Im loving that my body of adjusting but I had to give it some time and I almost quit and im so glad I didn't!

So long as I limit carbs somewhat (30 grams or two servings/meal) I do well. It's when I overdo the carbs that I stall completely.
