Chili Seasoning

Years and years ago someone posted a recipe for a chili seasoning mix that was terrific. I can't find that recipe anymore so was wondering if anybody on here might remember it. I don't know much about it other that chili powder, paprika and cayenne but there were some other ingredients too..

Thanks for any help.

chile powder (the blend, a "chile seasoning mix") normally also contains garlic, cumin, and oregano

when you say the recipe contains "chile powder" I assume you mean pure powdered chiles like Ancho, Colorado, California, Pasilla, etc. they all have different characteristics, so you can blend your seasoning to suit your family and your food.
Often I don't come back to read threads where I've posted. If you want me to see something, please send me a private message. Thanks!

Sounds like the taco seasoning mix. I don't remember the proportions right now, but it has chile powder, I use New Mexican, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and cayenne. I always mix up a big batch. That and low carb bbq sauce are my 2 can't do without low carb essentials.

Oh, here it is.

2T chile powder, California, New Mexican ,what ever
5 t paprika
4 1/2 t cumin
1 T onion powder
1 T salt
2 1/2 t garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne

Adjust as needed. Great on deviled eggs!
