Textured Vegetable Protein - does anyone use it as a breading or use with hamburger for meatballs or meatloaf, etc?

I use it as a topping for mach apple crisp (using chaoyte squash).
I cook butter, sweetner, cinnimon and tvp for the topping. I love it.

Yep, I use it like a hot cereal, add some Vanilla Soy Slender, or you could use Vanilla Almond Breeze, heavy cream, etc... little bit of sweet and low (love the pink stuff) and nuke and its so good.
Never used it as a filler in meats/meatloafs, their hard little balls, but if you re-hydrate them, maybe you could
Maybe KevinPa will come along, I know he uses TVP.

I used to use it, when I did WW and ate soy products, neither of which I do now!

I used to rehydrate it with boiling beef broth and taco seasoning and use it for taco salads, burritos, and tacos. My stepson, who was a teen then, never knew it wasn't MEAT! LOL!

I also used it for a crisp topping and as a filler in regular meatloaf and burger patties.

You can crush it and use it as a pie crust too, like crushed graham crackers. It doesn't have much flavor on its own so I used to add cinnamon and sweetener and softened butter to it.

It's quite versatile, if you eat soy products.

I have used it at Thanksgiving to help bulk up low-carb dressing. Worked great!

No. Just mix it with softened butter, cinnamon, chopped nuts if you want, and sweetener of choice.
