Can you freeze spaghetti squash ???

And -- if you can, should you freeze it before or after you cook it? Does it hold up well after being frozen? If you shouldn't freeze it, and don't use it all at once, how long can it be kept in the refrigerator after being cut in half?

Thanks for any advice!

Linda

I have only frozen it after I've cooked it. I divide it into individual servings by packing it into a 1/2 cup measure. Tap the cup on a cookie sheet to loosen the squash but retain the cup shape and then freeze, transfering to a large freezer bag once completely frozen.
Enjoy!

I freeze mine all the time after cooking it also. We eat SS quite a bit at my house so I will cook up 3 or 4 at one time and freeze them in 1 to 4 cup portions.
