Hi everyone. Sorry I've been MIA. To say that I'm behind in posts is an understatement so I'm starting from the beginning. My life in a nut shell these past few months.

I start on two permanent routes with Meals on Wheels next week. I really enjoy it.

My best friend died on 10/16...I'm still grieving. She was a very special woman.

My sister is still here

Gained 7 pounds so I need to get serious and lose more weight.

Had my annual physical and B12 and Vitamin D were low. Doc put me on supplements and I had the blood work redone this past week. Numbers are up...I hope he is happy with them. I'll find out next week.

Cancelled my cleaning service. Now that I am mobile, I can clean my own house

Can't think of anything else. It's nice to be back.

welcome back, Gibby.

sorry about your friend. as for the 7 lbs...I am sure you'll have them off before New Year's or sooner. Remember, low carb is NOT dieting...it is feasting. just read labels, and dine within the parameters of the # of daily carbs you set for yourself.
Chris, so happy about Thing1 AND 2 making the honor roll. much better than a Kaiser roll! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

MARILEE!!!!!!! :-) i have missed you, but you already knew that...sorry about your friend...i guess we are getting to the age where either we're gonna lose them or they're gonna lose us...good reason to try to enjoy every day we all have together!...congrats on being so mobile - i am so so proud of you!...i'm also happy you were able to gain seven pounds - i know you know what i mean :-) btw, where the heck is vicki???

ff, i hope you will count down the days of winter when it arrives...haha...

abs, sounds like a good safety plan...NO MORE FALLS!...how's hubby feeling?

about an hour ago, i fell asleep on one couch and my two granddaughters fell asleep on the loveseat...i woke up and they have not...they have colds and were up with stuffy noses every couple of hours last night...we built and painted a birdhouse this morning

my eating has been way off base and today i am getting back on track...the gym has been saving me and i will be there again tomorrow...

Marilee, the knee is feeling better and better now that the hardware is out. As soon as the incision feels less tender I am going to start going up steps the normal way. Also wondering what you hear from Vicki?

Tony, sorry the little girls have colds. What a neat thing to build and paint a bird house!

Chris, how is your back doing?

The back is much better!!

We went bowling (I didn't bowl) for Thing 1's birthday, he didn't even invite any friends, said they'd all be out hunting. Then to the Olive Garden, I behaved. They even brought him a piece of cake and sang to him

And speaking of hunting, Thing 1 missed a deer Saturday, arrow went right over its back. The old man laughed, guess who missed one Sunday morning the same way?

My sis bought 40# of huge boneless skinless chicken breasts, 99 cents a pound! We're splitting it. And this weekend the place she goes will have a huge seafood sale!!

Egg Fast Day #2... so far, so good. But the world's best pizza is for dinner for the herd, I may not survive...

Since Marilee made a reappearance, guess I will too. LOL. (Don't you just love her new pic?) I updated my stats as I started the end of Sept. by following a weighed and measured food plan by Food Addicts Anonymous. I am tracking in a fitness app and am getting roughly 50-80 net carbs even though i am including fruit, grains (not wheat), and potatoes. I feel really satisfied too and it has been a blessing that I am able to lose on it too. My calorie count is between 1200-1400 cals. I found a faith based phone meeting following the principles of 12 step program but we use the Twelve Steps for Christians so it incorporates scripture into the readings. I start every morning attending this phone meeting.

My oldest son and DIL fly in tomorrow from FL and we are having out Thanksgiving on Sunday. I will do turkey, gravy and taters and am making Jodie's Pumpkin Bake found on here for my treat. Others are bringing the rest of the stuff. My other go to will be green beans and almonds and maybe some relishes.

Youngest son who is 18 and a senior has decided on his college, Iowa State University, only 20 miles away. He initially didn't want to be that close to home and had even applied to Alabama and was considering Indiana. He will be undecided in the college of Human Sciences and is in the process of applying for scholarships. I am so proud of him and looking forward to what the future has in store for him.

Other than that, that is about all I have to report. I too, am way behind on posts obviously.

For every egg, you need an ounce of fat, like mayo, and up to an ounce of cheese. I don't see a day #3 happening. But down 6 pounds in those 2 days, and it seems to kick you back on track. It has both times I've done it, we'll see.

No clue on food today.

Adding that the first time I did it I got creative, had fettuccini alfredo. The noodles were made from eggs and cheese.l, it was pretty good. Had I prepared and not done it on a spur of the moment this time, I would have made that, muffins, all sort of stuff.

Chris, glad the back is ok. Good going on the two day egg fast.

Tony it won't be long before Lincoln will insist on staying with his grandfather along with his sisters!

Vicki! You sound wonderful and happy your eating plan is working so well!

FF, loved your egg fast joke.

Busy week coming up. Going to a small art and craft show that my brother is in every year today, 3rd shift pot luck Tuesday night, thanksgiving at my sister's house (I am bringing turnips and stuffed celery) and then on Saturday I always cook the whole tg meal for DH and myself. I'm tired just thinking about it. Lol

well, Tony-i guess i'm eating clean too.

except for TG, where I am allowing myself no more than 20 total grams for the whole day, I am dropping to 5-7 total grams per diem, at least through New Years Eve. it is no challenge. I am curious to see IF, it will speed up the weight loss. I will not go hungry, I promise you that! Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI
