Green Bean Casserole Soup In A Cup

Take about a tablespoon of condensed mushroom soup concentrate, about a cup of chicken or beef broth and heat up in microwave to as hot as you want it. Add water if you want. Open a can of French style green beans and spoon as many as you want into the soup/broth/water combination. Pour a splash of cream or half and half on top of green beans. Top with a tablespoon of fried onions. Enjoy!

MMMMMMM that sounds easy and good. I always keep canned french-style green beans on hand. Thanks girlfriend! Great idea!

This sounds good and easy...my fave type of dish. What a great idea.
Thanks for posting this.

I bet you could use any canned vegetable in it or leftover veggies that are sitting in the fridge like broccoli, etc. You could probably throw in some leftover meat pieces too.

Just lately I have been craving green beans and I just stocked up. They're super low in carbs, too. The fried onions really makes it great.

Very true. I'm aiming for low carb, but beans would be good, too. The small bit of fried onions are a perfect substitute for croutons, or even a small handful of tiny tortellini or one ravioli would work.

Here at least, you can go to the Indian market and get a jar of fried onions - nothing but onions and palm oil - nice and crispy! Nothing bad in them at all. I like them as well as, if not better than, the old French's fried onions in the can, which are breaded IIRC and probably fried in soy or vegetable oil.

If you have an Indian market, give a look-see for them! They're cheap too, big plastic jar of them for a couple bucks.

Thanks for the suggestion, I certainly will! Also, you can cut up the green beans in the can with a spoon. I find that they're kind of long on the spoon unless you cut them up. Or use the other cut up green beans.
