My dad used to make fat-back. It was SO good. You could chip a tooth on it though.

Hi Lashling…
We buy already cooked/crumbled Hormel in 20oz bags for putting into salads and things.

Then we buy the Hormel really thick stuff in 3 pound lots to bake or fry.

With brussel sprouts. Pan fry the bacon and remove, saving the fat. Saute a sliced onion in 1/2 of the bacon fat until carmelized, remove onions, then pan fry halved brussel sprouts in the remaining bacon fat. Season with salt. Add back in the onion and crumbled bacon and serve. Heaven.

Really bacon is good on anything though. I had some chocolate with bacon in it the other day and it was delish.

I don't eat a lot of bacon. When I do, I just fry it and have it with eggs.

Thick sliced, fried, one piece at a time

but if not eating it just out of the frig I like to put on cooked veggies, put it on my kale the other night yummers. On egg salad, chicken salad, in salads of course, eaten with an avocado. I can't think of anymore other than with eggs of course for bfast.

Mostly it's just one slice at a time till gone. BaconCandy.

In a house, with a mouse, in a box, with a fox, often while wearing multi-coloured striped socks, with a fork, with a spork, often while listening to Bjork, in the rain, on a train, often while reading to strengthen my brain, in the park, in the dark, on a lark, with a guy named Mark.......

Shall I continue?

YUM!

I love to wrap a slice of swiss cheese around a piece of bacon or two. It makes an awesome and quick breakfast!

Favorite way? Anyway I can.

My new obsession: bacon wrapped shrimp!!

There's a new Mexican seafood restaurant near me that makes fantastic bacon wrapped shrimp.

Plain, by itself; with eggs; on a BLT

NOT: on a hamburger, in a salad

I like my bacon kinda rubbery - if it's too crisp I give it to my DH! And I absolutely LOVE cracking a couple of eggs into the hot grease! Yum!!! It reminds me of when I was a kid and I would stand by the stove and watch my Mom.
