Low carb frozen meals

I'm finally going to buy some, lunch at work seems to becoming redundant. Any suggestions on which to try? Do bigger chains stores have their own versions?

Thanks!

I know Atkins has an ever-growing selection. I've only tried a few of them. Of the ones I tried the beef merlot was my favorite.

The pizzas are really good, as is the Farmhouse Scramble, but they're pricey! I'm not crazy about the others.

I'm actually making 5 days of Farmhouse scramble at this very moment. Much cheaper. Once done, I'll separate into 5 portions, then freeze for microwaving every morning.

Atkins brand Chicken Pot Pie and Margarita Chicken are my favorites. They are 2 and 3 net carbs respectively. I'm enjoying them as an option available to me when I am short on time Sunday to prep cook my work lunches for the week. Both of these are hot, flavorful, and substantial.

Besides Atkins, I saw Healthy Choice now has some low carb options. They say low carb right on them. I got them at Target. The only one I tried was the chicken broccoli alfredo, which Atkin's has as well. I like Atkins flavor better. I'm sure the calories are way lower in the Healthy choice, which is why the flavor is less, but I didn't look at the calories.

Alrighty, just checked:

Healthy Choice-190 cal, 8g total carb, 4g fiber, 4 net carbs

Atkins-330 Cal, 9g total carb, 4 g fiber, 5 net carbs

Looks like Healthy choice wins this one hands down.

Just throwing out another option, but pick a few recipes from Linda Sue's website and make those this weekend. Freeze in individual portions. Now you have a bunch of frozen meals for September and you know they are all LC and fresh. When I do this, I usually make:
- Spinach Lasagna
- Creamy SW Soup
- Coney Island Chili Dog Pie or White Castle Pie

Thanks for these two posts. I did not know that Healthy Choice had low carb options. I will be looking for that. Atkins has a wide range of net carb counts in their meals. Ranging from a low of 4 in the Chili Con Carne to 14 in the Mac & Cheese. I use a Sharpie to put the net carb count on the end of the box then manage to fit them in my weekly meal plan on weekdays. My favorites are Chili Con Carne and the Stone Fired Three Meat Pizza.

I do like the Atkins meals, but didn't know about the low carb Healthy Choice meals. Thanks for the tip, Ms. Woods! I will look for some this weekend.

I live in Canada and have not seen any Atkins frozen dinners at the local big grocery store. I don't live too far from the NY boarder can you tell me the stores where I can find these.
I will definitely look if we have LC Healthy Choice.
I make all my low carb meals but sometimes when I'm in a hurry it will be convenient not having to cook.

This is what I do, mostly because I have found that the preservatives and additives in frozen meals don't work with my body. Also, I always keep an emergency casserole in the freezer for when something unexpected comes up and I can't cook.

You can order them from the Atkins website, as well. In Walmart stores they are $3.79 in my area. The Healthy Choice meals are $3.49 and are steamers. I am looking forward to trying one soon.

Thanks. Will try Walmart but have not seen them last time that I looked.
I don't know in what condition the ftozen dinners will be if I order them. Do not want to get food poison.
I will probably take a trip to Walmart in the US when I come back from my vacation

I'll give you a tip. The low carb Healthy Choice Steamers have a gray front rather than the normal. The two that I purchased were Chicken & Vegetables Stir Fry (11 net carbs) and Grilled Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo (4 net carbs)

I tried the Atkins Italian Bake and it was good along with the 3 meat pizza and that was good as well. The portions are small but they satisfy my craving for pizza and Italian food.

I finally bought 2 today to try. Chicken and broccoli, and shrimp something with noodles. I'm too lazy to go look. I hope they're good. $4.19 each, they'd better be LOL
