My current weight as of this morning is 246. I was at 245 yesterday but silly me went and got pizza for the family. I'm ready to get into gear and would love for people to join in for motivation . Support..Support...Support.........It's the best thing to keep things going!

I love pizza.....toppings!!!! I'll usually order a meat lover's pizza with extra cheese and the toppings from two slices usually fill me right up. And doggie gets the crust!

First started Atkins April 1, 2002.
Lost 40 pounds back then and maintained for almost 8 years...then carb creep crept. I've always been low carb, but went hard core again in March 2012.

Weight today was 235.0 Only .5 to reach my stats weight again. Lookin forward to some new losses this week!!!

I ordered a deep dish for the family and half of pizza slice with toppings off another one. It did leave me bloaty yesterday.

Ok..So do anyone have any goals for this week?

Since I'm doing strict VLC this week, I'm hoping for a good drop. I have been doing modified lc this last week and have dropped 8lbs since last saturday 9/1. I'm giving up sodas as well.......


Today's weight was still at 246. I feel super jiggly and itchy.....I think a woosh will happen soon.

I would love to join in! I'll post my weight tomorrow, but it should be somewhere around 218-220 ish.....I will also be starting my vlc diet tomorrow as well! Let's see in 8 weeks I'd love to be about.... let's say 205 lbs. I'd love to say more, but that would put me at 1.8 lb loss per week. If I did get under 200 that would be wonderful!

1. Stick to clean eating
2. Remember to take my vitamins all week
3. Exercise 3x
4. Research and learn more about a higher fat plan.... very curious to see if this is my problem with slow losing..

So....I'm up 2 lbs from yesterday. I'm super swollen this morning. I think it has to do with the sausage and brautwurst from over the weekend. Hopefully I can get this bloat off me today.

Good morning ladies!

Welcome Melanie and Jess!!!

So I start today at my true stat weight after lopping off about 5 pounds of *something* this past week. I just want some virgin weight loss already, it has been a long long time..

Miss G, to answer your question; I started May 28 of this year. It has taken me THIS long to get 17.5 pounds off. No joke. Hence the reason for my interest in increasing my fat and lowering protein. I'm insulin resistant and have had to learn how to accept that I am going to have nothing but a fight to reach goal. There isn't any way around it, really, just to keep going no matter how long it takes. Frustrating at times for sure, but I haven't thrown in the towel during this and I'm pretty dang proud.

Errands today...and then lotsa homework. It never ends! I'm contemplating buying a fitbit to get my exercise going..gonna go check them out today..

Oooh I feel your battle. My sister was recently diagnosed with the same issue. She is studying to be an RN right now and came across the signs an symptoms of PCOS/Insulin Resistance which she has been dealing with for years. She had a full panel test and they put her on metfomin about 4weeks ago. She has finally lost some weight and is not as sluggish as she once was. Before the medicine she could not lose wight for nothing, feel asleep after meals, felt sluggihsh all day, never had a period, and her triglycerides were out of control. She also has been wanting to conceive again but with not luck. Now that they prescribed her these meds she has a chance of becoming preg more easily but she feels she now wants to wait til school. is out in another year.

....................

well today has been a slow mo day........my lil one stayed home with a cold. Shes sick and hyper all at the same time.....yay fun.

Okay so this morning was 219.8.

I'm going to copy and paste what I wrote in the new memeber thread, so you can get to know me a bit....

Hello! I'm finally going to post on this site. I've done low carb/atkins diets in the past. I lost 40 lbs back in 2009, fell off the wagon and slowly gained it back. I still beat myself up about that. Most of 2012 I have been trying to lose weight, started at about 225 got down to 210 and am about 218 now. It hasn't been a very successful year... I've tried some different stuff, low carb a couple times but wasn't having much luck. I'm going to try it again. I can say my skin clears up and I feel less bloated when I cut out the carbs. I'm hoping alot of my problems are too much cheese, salt, fake sugars, etc... that were stalling me. I'm also going to really try to get enough sleep and see if that will help too. Anyway, so you know how much I weigh, I'm 5'9" and just about 27 years old. I would love to find some friends with similar or who had similar stats as me. I need some encouragement and people to tell me what is working for them! I have a very strong desire to weigh 160-170 and be fit within a year!

Ummmm diet, so far today I've had eggs with a little cheese, a little bit of sausage, though I plan to try to limit processed meats as best I can. Everything fried with butter. A cheese stick, a cucumber... Dinner will be pork chop with broccoli. Today isn't perfect but it was my first day and I didn't have anything planned ahead of time. Normally I'll try to have leftovers for lunch instead of 2 breakfasts...

I've drank a ton of water today and burnt 400 cals working out, yay!

Oh, are we copying all of our weights or just our own???

To eat as close to perfect as I can.... Be in bed by 10...... workout 3 times.... drink 12 cups of water....

I guess those are my goals for this week. Actually kind of all month.... Hopefully if I can do that I can get some results! I sooo want to see the 190's again, it's been a couple years!

Hello,

I would like to join it seems that we are weigh about the same. I am going to get my current weight tomorrow, last week I was 250. The last day of this challenge lands on my birthday. I cant think of a better gift to give myself than weight loss! I'm hoping for 30 lbs off by then which is totally doable since in past tries I average 12-15 lbs loss during by first week without cheats.

I echo the person who said they cant wait until week one is over, I agree I feel fat and bloated too.

Melanie~ sounds like you are well on your way!

MissG~ I lost beautifully on Atkins the first 2 times I tried it...so easily and smoothly... after those two times I dinked around with low fat plans for awhile and then yo-yo'd with some more low carb...now that I am completely serious and totally committed I find out about all I've done to my body. But I refuse to give up! I really hope that your sis finds some success with the metformin and weight loss...seems like a great time to work on herself while finishing school.

Baked cookies last night for my college kid...OMG!!! I coulda eaten tons but I kept thinkin about the number on the scale.. I took one bite of the first batch to check to make sure they were good and that is it.. I should be given a freakin medal I tell ya!

Hello Everyone !!!

Danielle: Good job taste testing and not going to town!! I remember when I Devoted myself strictly to lc in 2008 and all the bday's I put together, holidays ..EVERYTHING. I was so determined to not messup I eventually would just wipe of any frosting of my fingers(instead of licking it..lol) , not test anything ( I would have someone else taste test it), and would not have anything regular carb I made for others. .....It takes some strength to do this and not think twice....

Cinglessofme: You sound very determined to make this happen. We are here for you....

Melanie: How are you doing ??

Well last night i caved into a small slice of cheesecake for my dd 14th bday. We bbq'd some chicken and hotdogs. My S/o, mom and I had salad and the kids had some salsa and corn chips. It was a quick dinner but my days work could of been more rewarding this morning if I had just NOT touched the slice. Lol...Ohswell. Best part about it ....It tasted like crap.

This mornings weight was only down .4 . I dont feel swollen/bloated anymore but surely didnt see any big losses either.

Onwards and downwards we go!!

I really need to make my water intake a priority. So far I've had 16oz. That is just horrible. I use to be so good at drinking it and not thinking about it.

I guess this is what this rant is about.......blugh!

LOL I woulda just had DH test the cookies, but the man hasn't a clue...if ya know what I mean Sending these to DS and his roommates so I wanted to make sure they tasted how they're supposed to. Something I forgot to mention......I "thought" I'd lost track of my flour and sugar counts because I was doubling the recipe and the hubbs just kept talkin...and talkin....and talkin..... Apparently I did it right. ..

Water....
I am having a few off days here and there the last coupla weeks where I'm not getting in nearly enough.. bad bad bad! Aside for a cuppa in the morning and the occasional Diet Pepsi, all I drink is water... shame on me. Weather is getting cooler too and that is always a struggle!

I'm doing great so far!!! My eating is good, water is good. Bedtime was an hour late last night, but still squeeked in 7 hrs of sleep. Hoping to see some water weight drop off, because that's always motivational to see the scale do a little dip!
