Some people use pp for taste. I just use 2eggs, 1/4c coconut milk (1/3c = 2carbs, I just round up for my 1/4c) & davinci's. I count eggs as 1 carb each. 2+2+1= 5g for this one. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong - I am so not good at "higher carb math"

Bekki - I don't think it is necessary to add the protein powder as the egg cream is a protein drink in itself anyway. You could add it for a protein boost, but I think that would be a "waste" of calorie allowance, if that makes sense. I would personally only add protein to an egg cream at the end of the day if I need a protein boost cos I haven't had enough during the day.
HTH - hope you are well.

I add a bit of PP because it has thickeners in it, and I like the "shake" consistency.

This morning used a generous scoop of Body Fortress cookies and cream protein powder,2TBS heavy cream,1/2 tsp.vanilla extract,1 large egg,and several ice cubes. It tasted like a chocolate malted! The texture was awesome, and it was super yummy!

JUst made my first egg cream a chocolate one. I have been reading about them for months, but couldn't bring myself to try one, like some others, its the raw egg thing, but they are really good, looking forward to more in the future, and to try all these great recipes.

Thanks

The carbs aren't terribly high. I only eat berries once or twice a week, no problem for me.

This is the first time I ever made one! I was always afraid of the eggy taste, but even my picky 7 year old had some! It was delish. I used the recipe above but only had vanilla pp so I added banana davinci. It was super yummy and I can't wait to try the other varieties.
