A taste of fall Caramel Apple Cider

mmmmmmmmm, this is better than I thought it might be:

2 eggs
2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
1 packet Alpine Sugar Free Instant Apple Cider (4 carbs)
1 TBSP Torani Sugar Free Caramel syrup (.5 carbs)
4-5 ice cubes

Total:
5.92 carbs
263.5 calories
12.94 g protein
20.98 g fat

I made my first egg cream yesterday and had another one today. I bought powdered whole egg online cuz I was too wimpy to try raw.

Here's the way I made it:
powdered whole egg- I used 3 eggs worth
1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1-2 TBS DaVinci sf pumpkin syrup
1 scoop vanilla zero carb protein powder
2 TBS psyllium husks
1 and a half cups unsweetened almond breeze
5 ice cubes
2 TBS chia gel
pumpkin pie spice - heavy hand

mmmmm, nice and thick and creamy

Why are you adding powdered eggs if you are using protein powder? The pp gives you plenty of protein.

hahahah...Hi Lisa Bellini....Um, I have no idea - I guess I just was thinking super healthy and got lost in it. The protein powder is whey based, so I was just thinking of that as the milk component to make it creamy.

Be careful of powdered eggs & powdered milk-they contain oxidized cholesterol because of the way they are processed. Oxidized cholesterol is the only form of cholesterol that collects in arterial plaque. Normal, healthy, cholesterol does not build up in artery walls such as the cholesterol in whole eggs. The foods with the highest oxidized cholesterol content are: dried cheese, powdered whole milk, powdered eggs, powdered butter, hard meats, etc. These types of foods are often used in packaged prepared foods so by using these powdered products you are going back to old eating habits before you started eating LC. The incredible edible egg-use the real thing!

I just made a good Mocha EC.

2 Eggs
4 Tbs Heavy Cream
1 cup cold decaf. coffee
2 cups ice
splash of SF Vanilla syrup
1/2 scoop Choc. whey protein powder.

Makes about a 20 oz drink. You could add more fluid to make it less "Frosty" like and end up with a larger drink.

It was really good!

Curious if anyone has ever used Egg Beaters? Since they are pasturized (sp?) the risk of salmonella is gone.

Yes, I use egg beaters all the time. Most of the time I buy the store brand. I use them because I have had some medical things going on and didn't want to risk getting more sick!

I added a spoonful of coconut flour into my egg cream this morning. It made it thick, like a Wendy's Frosty...and very yummy. Long-lasting too. I wasn't hungry for hours.

i love these in the morning HOT!!
i throw a pat of butter in a measuring cup
add some coffee...maybe about 1 1/2 cups
nuke till boiling
sprinkle some xanthum gum on top so it softens a little
add 2 splenda paks
some caramel davinci
some vanilla protein powder
2 eggs
blend with my mixer stick and it's so thick and rich!!!
better than starbucks!!!

I made this for breakfast today. I added a scoop of vanilla protein powder to it (bumped it up to 10 carbs- that is a lot more than I normally do), but it was so good! My 15 year old son was up and tasted it when I made it. He asked me if I could make it for dessert tonight. Lol!

I tried it this morning. Very yummy! I just used cinnamon and for sweetener, one packet of regular splenda and one packet of french vanilla splenda. Mmmmmm. It was a bit liquidy, I may try freezing the ingredients for the next one.

Just whipped this one up!


2 jumbo fresh brown cage-free eggs
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze
1 tsp. Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa powder
1 scoop chocolate whey protein powder
2 packets NuStevia

Put all that into the blender and cranked it up, then slowly poured in

1/2 cup freshly-made, decaf, french-pressed HOT coffee

And whirred til frothy.

It's 51* here right now and clouding up for rain so this nice hot drink hits the spot!
