hi, MsLea!. Good to see you back. I agree that tracking macros is tedious. Once you've done this for a while you KNOW what to eat and you KNOW how your body responds to things - even some "legal" or "on plan" foods can cause a bump up in the scale, so you have to know what works for you. In order to maintain, I limit cheese, nuts and high-sodium things like pork rinds, pickles and rotisserie chicken. Those are my treat/comfort foods - pork rinds dipped in sour cream, or rotisserie chicken dipped in mayo or butter and hot sauce (I call it buffalo chicken). And you're so right - the simpler the better!!!

Hey everybody,

Well well well, it sure has been an interesting month. I've been on plan but did add in some various artificial sweeteners this month and clearly they have affected my losses. At least now I know that for maintenance, those things might be an option, but for now it's best to avoid them if I want to see more progress. I did not end the month where I would have liked, but am down almost 4 pounds since the beginning of the month, so I'll take what I can get. In February, I'd love to get stricter, eliminate the artificial sweeteners and see a 10 pound loss, but I think I'll set my goal at my January stretch goal of 141. I'd definitely be happy with that.

I didn't think that would happen with all the sickness, hubs having surgery, my oldest with basket ball games and practice I felt like I was just running around like a crazy person. I hope Feb brings a slower pace for me.

Kelly, that hot chocolate sounds yummy! I will have to order some for sure!

Iíve been holding steady and staying on plan and thankfully the scale is moving in the right direction. I just need to keep my focus and be strong. Tonight Iím cooking some pork tenderloins and will use them for lunch next few days and pair the pork with some guacamole. I need to go buy some pork rinds as those would be great with the guacamole too. Iím loving the little guacamole snack cups I found at Costco.

Iím getting my addiction to SF candy under control finally. I keep some to ensure I have options when the cravings are high but I have overdone it too much lately and itís bad for the scale and my belly!

Great to hear from so many! Letís have an amazing February!

wahoo! -8.9 this month granted, the losses were in the first two weeks... but at least still on it! my goal next month is to eat more veggies and make time for cardio. husband has been getting in the rhythm of working out in our garage gym.
