Thanks, Bloodhound, Holly, and Michael. I had a clarinet player take that 2nd pic Sunday morning at the end of rehearsal. I was kinda shocked myself.

I have that very same 322 pound picture hanging on the wall of my bathroom in the backshop, where no-one else is allowed. It is there there by the mirror for inspiration, but the mirror is only a small hand held jobby, meant for checking the back of your hair or whatever. Just a tiny sucker.

So I don't spend a lot of time looking at myself, PARTICULARLY a side view. So yeah, that "after" pic was bit of an eye opener.

It took a decade to gain all that weight, so it is pretty slow. Then to lose it all... and more.... in only 8 months....well I look sorta funny to be honest.

I had a good day. Tomorrow is Day Number Two of as close to perfect eating as I can muster. I'd probably be happy with 185, but I want to go beyond that if I CAN...WHICH REALLY MEANS if my wife doesn't choke my feeble looking neck. She thinks 185 is too low. That's wrong, but just because I'm RIGHT doesn't mean I WIN.

So stay tuned....

Well, I bounced a little.

No, I haven't got my bike out yet. I was so busy yesterday! I decided I'm going to finally try to learn to play the guitar my wife bought me like 5-6 years ago. Yesterday was my first lesson. Holy crap it makes your finger tips hurt! haha!

I'm keeping it on the down low to my wife, I'm kinda trying to surprise her. (Translation for old men like Stan who aren't hip: I'm not telling her I'm taking lessons.)

Life has been great...too great! We have a beautiful new kitchen and we've been cooking like crazy...and baking...and eating everything we made! My daughter went to the Dr yesterday and confirmed that we are now 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant! Our new addition will be born on 4/15 (or thereabouts), so this granny-nanny needs to get her butt in gear to be able to chase around a little one!

Day 8 - just another 17.5 lbs to go... lol. Then I'd feel safe breaking fast. And yet.. I dunno... I'm bored of fasting. I miss eating so much it's ridiculous. But also, I like I'm saving money, that's a bonus and also no dishes from me.

Because of the bounce up coming my way, can everyone promise me we will NOT celebrate getting below 300 please?? Not until it's legit and earned. Please and thank you!

Stan - photo is phenomenal. It makes me think of a little kid wearing his daddy's suit. You'll definitely have to go on a shopping spree when you are at goal. But that being said, I am guilty of wearing I'll fitting clothing while losing. I mean who wants to waste money on temporary clothing?

As for a duct tape diet.. I think it would be more effective to have someone like Tony Little ( anyone remember him?) to yell at you when you're bad and motivate you to be better. I'd want to be good just to shut him up. Lol

She said that she was "afraid" to step on the scale. I said "I know! But NOT KNOWING is the most DANGEROUS thing to do!" Everyone here remember. WEIGH. Even (ESPECIALLY) when you "don't want to know".

If you've ever lost a bunch of weight, then gained it all back. . YOU KNOW. Maintenance is a booger. OKAY! off the soap box! Everyone have a great Tuesday!

This is exactly why I need to weigh everyday .... it's when I don't, the problems begin and I start ignoring what may be going on. I've lost big chunks of weight (my previous best was 70 .... I'm at a personal record now ) before. When I stopped getting on that scale is the exact moment that I started gaining.

So I guess you guys are stuck with me.
