I listen more than I read. Been reading the same book now for about 3 weeks. It's about to expire.

Reading Jodi PIcoult The PACT

Finished reading Nora Roberts the Obsession, Very good
Friendship Bread Darien Gee

Have been listening to the Jack Reacher Series by Lee Child.

I've got the Goodreads app on my kindle, otherwise I could never remember what I've read.
I just finished The Whole Town's Talking by Fannie Flagg. It was enjoyable, but not as good as some of her others. It felt like the story rushed through the years without enough detail. If I hadn't read her other ones like Standing in the Rainbow I probably wouldn't have noticed. I also just zipped through the latest Stephanie Plum novel.
Mostly though I've been reading crime or detective novels:
Jonathan Stride series by Brian Freeman
Cork O'Connor series by William Kent Krueger
The Huntress series by Alexandra Sokoloff

I think I need some lighter reading though.

Thanks Michele and Jan. I will check it out the Goodreads.com and see what it is all about. Frequently I check out a book I have already read or listened to.

Jan I copied the name of those book series. Will check them out.

I've been reading alot lately - I guess it helps me relax:

Home by Harlan Coben (easy, fun read)

A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler (engaging, good characters)

Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney (good story)

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (grabs you from the start to finish)

Will be back soon to share some more,

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the site.

I'm a booklover, though. My library card expired the other day and all my library books disappeared from my Kindle -- you know I hadda run right to the library and re-up!!

I have a Deepak Chopra book, SUPER GENES, and a book about the migration of black Americans northward in the US, THE WARMTH OF OTHER SUNS, as well as FORGIVING THE UNFORGIVEABLE, about dealing with horrible incidents and those who perpetrate them, on my device now.

I'm enjoying that series. I'm on the 5th book and it's kind of getting boring (to me) because it's gotten a bit too predictable.
I think there are 3 more books, and I'm not sure I'll be able to stay interested enough to finish it.

I also just picked up "Dragon Teeth" By Michael Crichton. Seems interesting, I love Jurassic Park type stories.

Oh also:
Breakthrough by Michael C. Grumley was an amazon freebie that looks good.

Michele thanks for finding our book thread. Added you recommendations to my wish list, none are available. IF I put too many on "Hold" it seems like that all show up at once.

Reading, Tradegy Paper, ok
Listening to Blind mans' Bluff. Ok

Very interesting book.

My niece, a freshman is having to read this book for class. It was written in the 50s but was very futuristic for the time.

I remember reading that book in school, too. I remember that I enjoyed it.

Just finished 'Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine' and 'The Magpie Murders'. Both are very different from each other, but both were very good reads.
