Splenda Quick Packs

Many older recipes on here call for the use of Splenda Quick Packs. I never used them, and I have been led to understand they are no longer manufactured.

Can someone please post how much sweetening power a "Quick Pack" had? If you'd prefer, you could post how much erythritol it would take to equal it, or how much sugar a pack was equivalent to. This would be a tremendous help. Thank you!

Never used it myself, but I learned on this board at some point that 1 Splenda quick pack equals 1 cup of Splenda. There was 1 tsp in each quick pack, which means 1 tsp of QP equals 1 cup Splenda = 1 cup sugar equivalent.

Linda, many thanks, once again, for demystifying things for me! You're always there when I have a question. How DO you do it?!

I bought out my big lots store on these when these were discontinued. They were perfect for koolaid, which I think was their purpose. The packets were the same size as koolaid packets. open them together and pour into a pitcher and add water. With liquid sucralose it's like 2 eyedropper fulls per pitcher.

I just used my last one. They were Kool-Aid size and equaled 1 cup of sweetness. I also bought as many as I could from big lots stores. Loved it .

I bought a package of sucralose, I think it was bulk supplements brand, several years ago. It must have had half a cup of powder in it. It was so concentrated that I figured out that about 1/8 teaspoon added up to a cup of sweetness, much like the old quikpacks. Only less filler in it since one teaspoon of the quick pack added up to a cup of sugar. I haven't even made a dent in the package since you use so little.
