WEDNESDAY’S ROLL CALL, OCT. 18

Time to get to bed and snuggle alone......

Have a peaceful night. Julie, I’ve never seen a real sink hole before, didn’t know how long the authorities took to fix it all up again!

Morning!

Made it to work super early -- got nothing else to do -- the house is just too quiet right now.

Oh Michele, we never forget our fur babies. We had to do that to 6 of ours over the years, that bulldog was the last, and we swore to never go through that again. It’s so very hard on the heart.....I understand how you feel.

OH Michele, what Doris said is so true.......it simply "hurts your heart." There's no denying that. Thank goodness you have work to keep you busy during the day. Be thinking about the weekend.........get some plans going.

My bird feeder had Cardinals and Titmice this morning.........such a happy sight.

Had to call Allergist this morning(think miserable) and we're trying a new regimen...........no more Claritin, switching to Tagamet and Atarax. We'll see.

Hospital today, home tonight.

Ginny, I’m so sorry for you and those miserable hives! You must be going nutso and frustrated beyond belief, until the next shots!

YES I AM. I see no change since the $1000 shot........am wondering if I should continue. I'll give it thought. Don't like the fact that anaphylactic shock is a BIG side effect, even months later, plus didn't feel that well afterwards. Hoping new regimen helps.

Anxious to hear from Julie and the "sink hole."

Babette, have yourself a wonderful birthday.

To Babette! The big 70!

Yes, even wrote Babette’s Birthday on my table calendar, too much going on at the house this week.

Ginny I would wonder, too about those expensive shots! Do you think you need a second opinion? Is there a site on Facebook for people that have that?

Thank you. Having a really quiet birthday as usual. During my life, there have been a number of tragedies on my birthday such as my father died, my grandfather was hit by a truck crossing the street, etc. so I rarely feel up to "celebrating."

Have bookclub today, and we are under high wind gale warnings. So I'll do some laundry - we will have no water tomorrow when they clean our community well system, and try to remain positive.

We have only had to put one pet down in all these years. All the others simply died. It was the most horrible experience ever. I suspect Red and Blue will outlive us, so it will be our son's problem.....Not sure I could survive another.

Dear Michele, I feel your loss and pain. Take your time to grieve. It is helpful to keep a little distracted with your work. Sending Big Gentle Hugs.

Happy Birthday Babette. Will the kitties get to share some birthday cake?

Nothing too exciting up here. A pretty Fall day outside, crisp temps but warming up this aft, lots of leaves blowing around.
I have my physical with my Doc this aft.

Waving to ALL and hope to check back later...

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BEGETE Enjoy your day and celebrate the lives of those you remember in a special way today. Hope you and John get out to celebrate.

Ginny sure feel for you and those hives and the stubbornness of their leaving. I would be ready to scream. Sure hope the new rx helps. Glad you are able to do your usual chores. They will get your mind away from the hive track for a while.

We have a beautiful fall day here, with sunshine and cool but nice temps. Have some house plants I want to put in bigger pots and will get to that soon.

Michele my thoughts are with you. Think of all of the joy Casey gave you. What a grand gift he was.

Julie part of the road in front of my house is falling into the ditch that is also in front of my house. Not sure HOW and if the road department will be able to fix it. In the meantime they need to make my street a one way.

Doris hope you had a good nights rest. How are Zach and Rachel doing? Do you get to spend much time with them as before Josh and Buffie came to live with you? Your life has been completely turned around since Gunther (sp) died. Wonder what he would have to say about all of the changes? Hang in.

Susan, good luck at the doctor appt today.

Babette, I remember water being off now and then for tank cleaning, back when we lived in PG & E housing in the canyon. Then water tasted like bleach for several days after, we kept big jugs of water around because of that. Did you get the wash hung in the wind?

Loretta, did you get those plants repotted ok? That’s terrible about your road failing, has anyone told you if it will stay like that all winter? Bummer! That would worry me with bad wet weather coming in.

No, I don’t see Rachel and Zach often at all, mostly I see Zach when he comes to pick Silas up, or comes to get him on the weekend, he does stay longer then, Rachel is always so busy with her job, can be called at any time.....I do text with her late in the evenings, she needs to vent. Both daughter in laws vent to me! Hmm, wonder why that is?

Guenter is probably watching us the same as any sit com!

Thanks Doris, A smooth appt. a clean bill of health today with Fam. Doc.
Mammo on Friday and Oncologist next Wed for follow up and results. Oh joy!
Glad your DsIL can vent with you. You must be a good listener.

Ginny, I sure hope you can get some results and some peace soon.

Loretta, I am having the last of the baby spinach tonight with my supper. Yay! The very first time that I grew something. Thank you for your patience and advice.
Oh boy, I sure hope the City get your road fixed.

Julie, I guess you have to wait for the sink hole to finish growing before they can fix it.

Sending more hugs to our Michele.

They also are checking to see if any pipes or wiring are under there. Also that it's done sinking. It's a very involved proceedure. Since we have several entrance streets into the park, it is just affecting a few of us as we can drive thru different roads. Unless it spreads, it has only impacted a few houses directly.
Actually I am four house lots from it. Two on my street, then a left turn and down two lots.
