Ekk. Sorry Stan to disappoint.. ate a large meal last night, eggs, turkey bacon and sausage. It was too much food and I felt gross and full the rest of the night. That being said I'm trying to help my muscle fatigue so I can get back to walking the kids to school and just doing life in general. I'm going to eat similar meal for lunch and just egg salad the rest of day and then back to egg fast tomorrow. Hoping to feel a little stronger.

I used to feel like that all the time when I would eat, and I guess I just became used to it I guess. But now that I've really been focusing on my diet, when I eat too much and feel like that, it really bothers me, which is good.

You're still killin' it Charlotte!

My 3 day fast only lasted half a day. I then had a genealogy-binge weekend, but I think I made a break-through trying to identify my cousin's birth mother! I'm pretty sure I've identified her maternal grandparents and just sent away for the grandmother's death certificate hoping one of her children was listed as the informant. It would be even better if it turns out to be a girl with a unique surname. (And that person turns out to be the mom.) Of the two kids I know about, they're boys and one died as a child. The other has a name that's common as dirt, so it would be VERY difficult to locate him. It's so exciting!

I'm still catching up reading posts, but I see I've gotten some great advice on the gun question! I didn't even know you could rent guns at gun ranges. I went to one once, but we took my late dad's rifle with us. I'm super cautious and would never have a handgun without training. Right now I'm just in the "thinking about it" phase. On a semi-related note, my youngest daughter was robbed when she worked at an ice cream store. The guy had a tiny pocket knife. When he asked for the money she responded, "Are you serious?" LOL She was mad because he took the tip jar with $20 in it. She told one of the cops who responded to her police call and he bought a cone when he left and tipped her $20.00. Most cops are so nice.

Have a great week, all!

Success! Right Stan!?

I love it when the fast knocks your hiney right OFF that plateau! it works EVERY.TIME.

Hey, I thought about doing the 48 more often too. It was a piece of cake. I kinda like the idea of it over the weekend though. That's when I usually get bored, and munchy. If I take food COMPLETELY out of the equation, it simplifies EVERYTHING!
Great job! I REALLY need to stick with one of these again. It was so much easier when I had a colonoscopy planned....

Lylotle,
You did really good with 11 days.
And look what you lost. Great job.
Today is day 2 for me and I like to push it to 5 days>But we will see.
Letitgo
You also did good.
It goes to show us, We can do it if we really push. But some times that pushing has pushed me to far.

The one thing about fasting and losing. How to you not gain back at least some?
I know you eat light for how many days u were on{I'm I right?
Also what we do lose is water.and some fat]Plus cals O.{So we should loose.
The key is not to grain back and that seems the hardest part.

If I can do 5 days> It should put me closer to goal weight.
But Boy I will be over the moon> Friday to weigh in and see 115{Hope.
I also think if you can and feel like it to move that body .

Denied! We cannot say anything! I'm still on the bounce up. Once I lose a pound on my own THEN we can.

I've got my fingers and toes crossed though.

Alright now, who was it talking about Taco Bell? Somewhere or another I came across a link to an egg taco shell breakfast doo-hickey? Anyway, I went and investigated a bit online and found that taco bell is trial-ing a breakfast taco where the "taco" shell is made of eggs, and you can adjust the fillings to your liking, as in NO potatoes, thanks anyway, looks pretty good!

My investigation led me to a trip to taco bell around lunch time and I found that you can get a "bowl", which can have chicken or steak or no meat, you can order it with No rice, No beans........... and it's just lettuce, meat, avo, sour cream. Good to know if you're out and about and hungry. Oh and a few tomatos but not much.

So I ate that......I SHOULD have stopped half way thru and covered it, but I ate the whole thing at lunch time. Now I'm just skipping dinner 'cuz I'm stuffed still. I'm going to e-mail the "nutritionist" at taco bell and ask how many carbs the eggshell taco has with no potatoes and give it a whirl tomorrow for a breakfast treat. I wish they served it all day!

Ain't no big thang!

But color me skeptical.

I'd be thrilled if that winds up being a real number, just for 48 hours worth of fasting. I can do 48 pretty easily, since I'm already KETO plus Intermittent Fasting 20/4. It isn't exactly "effortless" per se.... But it isn't too bad.

The Queen and I started working on a big pot of chili yesterday. I'll simmer it for a few hours later this morning, and call it a day. I struggle with Serving Sizes with chilis and stew, and its time I act like a "grown up" in this area. I can count on one hand, the times I haven't gone back for "seconds" when there's a big pot of chili in the kitchen....but maybe I can manage this time.

5.7 Pounds of 80/20 Ground Beef (I weighed it. I'm so weird.)
1.5 Crispy Bacon
2 LG Red Onions
3 Bell Peppers
20 or so Portabello Mushrooms
6 Cans of Diced Tomatoes (14 or 15 oz cans. Can't remember for sure)

Then came The Spices: Chili, Cumin, Sea Salt, Cayenne and Black Pepper, and that expensive kinda Black lookin' Vinegar I never can remember. The brand was Colavito, I think...

See, I can chop bell peppers just fine, thank you.

But I can't season a Pot 'O' Chili that suits my picky wife to save my neck!!!

So. That's her job.

I can't mix ink for customized colors either. I must be a little Drain Bammaged from listening to Michael honking on a tuba during the 5 or 6 years it took to get him through high school.

I'm thinking about freezing some chili servings in pint mason jars. I did that...years ago...with my favorite Garlic Navy Beans recipe. (I miss beans BADD...BUTT... I digress..... Hmmm...I didn't see beans listed above either! Chili without beans? That's just WRONG right there.) Instead of ham, I used Smoked, Pulled Chuck Roast for the flavoring. SOOOOOO Yummy! Butt that's all behind me, wink wink.

I finally figured out how to warm up my 'meal in a jar' Navy Bean Servings perfectly! I just loosened the ring a little (on the mason jar,) and put the jars in a pot of water and brought it to a boil for a while. I was on a No Microwave Kick at the time, and this worked better anyway.

I probably ought to go get some work done.

Later Y'all...

Not very happy with myself. I ate way too many garlic and jalape˝o olives yesterday. Woke up in the middle of the night and snacked. I'm derailing myself.

I think maybe I'll fast today and start again tomorrow afternoon. I can't figure out why I keep waking up at night, but it screws me up.

Going to get a short bike ride in here pretty soon.

I think maybe I'll fast today and start again tomorrow afternoon. I can't figure out why I keep waking up at night, but it screws me up.

Going to get a short bike ride in here pretty soon.
Michael, are you getting enough fat? You shouldn't be so hungry. Are you tracking your food at all? Too much protein? Too much cheese?

Think about what you were eating last month and compare to this week.

You posted "RESIST" to someone one day, I think about that all the time

I'm not even sure he is human. You may very well be competing against a machine. I mean, look at his humor, that is machine humor at best.
