Well, mostly didn't eat yesterday. I caved a little last night and had some cheese, but that was it.

This is my first go round with an extended fasting period, so I'm learning. All the other people on here that are posting about fasting have been great inspiration and great help! (This includes Stan. That was painful to have to type.)

This is the lightest I have been in probably 15 years. I know that I will bounce back some, but it still feels good to know I am capable of losing all these extra pounds!

Praying that God continues to give me the strength to for this journey! He has already put me around a great bunch of people support me. Thanks Low Carb Friends!

I'm dreading the time I am going to have to travel. I'm really going to have to plan out what I'm going to eat ahead of time so I don't get sucked into temptation.

What really sucks is when I travel it is usually to Birmingham or Chicago. Both places have such fantastic good food! Curses! lol

Welp, the honeymoon is over. I expected it.

The weekend is ahead. I feel pretty strong. Especially since yesterday, the company bought pizza for the office. (this includes the cookie pizza and brownies). I left and went home to eat like I do everyday. The advise from the co-workers started "oh, you can eat just the toppings" or "this one time is not going to hurt".. I had to make them "talk to the hand" because I CANNOT deviate. Only YOU GUYS understand.

I might entertain a 48 hour fast over the weekend. I certainly don't want to stall this early in the rebound.

Everyone have a great Friday!

Day 11 - I don't wanna do this anymore but I desperately want a bounce buffer. Such a dilemma. Fasting really is a little game you play with yourself. I've learned I most definitely snack when bored, though I kinda already knew that, I just thought maybe there were other reasons like emotional, love, comfort. Seems I'm just a really bored person. Maybe I'm secretly an under stimulated genius who needs more out of life. Lol. Maybe an adrenaline junkie and I don't know it? I've also learned that though I get bored with LC foods at times I just need to be more inventive and not resort to meat sticks and a chunk of cheese constantly. Part of the reason I wanted to fast was to stop myself from deciding LCing was no fun to eat. Now I miss it, have recipes I want to try, and I'm excited to go back to eating it. All this to say I'm not sure how much longer I'll hold out. I just don't have much energy and it sucks. Tonight I have a bunch kids coming over for a slumber party. They will be eating candy and chips and pizza and cinnamon buns and we'll everything that is yummy and naughty. A hard boiled egg might be my salvation. I dunno. I'm going to go to the grocery store and stock up. My plan is to transistion to an egg fast for the next week until DH comes home. Ill hard boil a bunch up since they keep and toss them in the fridge. My fasting day is over at 8 pm so as always I'll make my decision when the time comes as to whether I'll go another day.

LetItGo - bagels are awesome! New York style or Montreal style?

I really don't understand my body..... really.... I can eat 1 not so great item and gain 4 lbs over night. I eat super strict (16 hr IF and 8 hour LC eating window) and only go down half a pound. I think it's only conditioned to go up...I need to reset it and condition it to move in the downward direction!

It's Friday all, have a wonderful day!

I'm SPOT ON with my plan, every day...so maybe it's time for a bit of a change.

MAYBE,,,,my body is tired of being tricked by my brain into burning fat all the time (IF indeed there actually IS a brain up there somewhere....) and thinks it's time to stop all this foolishness. And I really need to read a bagel discussion right now.

NOT!

It isn't sweets that call my name. Its bread. Chewy, warm, aromatic BREAD!!! So thanks for that!

You can keep your steenking bagels in Canada! (Bagels. Sheesh.) Fasters shouldn't even type the word Bagel. That's just RONG right there!

Here ya go, you temptresses you:

Bagel.

Dogs.

There. I've said it.

Dream on THAT for a while, Meanies.. (Pause here to feel pretty bad for tempting me)

"I NEEEEED Bagel Dogs. Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel Dogs."

Methinks I prolly can't EVER do a Quik Trip Bagel Dog EVER again, sniff sniff.

I can skip the sweets, BUT!>>You guys STOP IT with all the Bagel Talk a'ready!!

Kind, you are doing great! How's your back this time around??

Terri DO IT!! I'll do the 48 if you will!! When I'm home with nothing much to do, it's waaaay dangerous, and I plan to be home this weekend. So I'm in....If you're in! (THROWS DOWN GAUNTLET)

LJ-, good luck on your trip! You did great last time!

Michael, Yay, I guess.

I have to include you, but nobody cares.

LYLOTTE. Speechless. And doing this while "Mom-ing at the same time. I couldn't even do the Mom-ing part.... much less while fasting.

I dunno.....

Just.....WOW!!!

Let's go losers! The weekend is upon us!

<The end...>

Sincerly yours.

Charlotte, I really found your whole post today very inspirational, but the bit above really jumped out at me. I'm thinking of trying a three day fast this weekend starting today today. I like the idea of being excited with LC eating again.

Sounds like a GREAT idea, *except for The Michael Part*. So count me in!

*See, as much as he wants to be normal, he's pretty unstable. And, he's always, always, armed.

SIGH....

Just tell her when travelling...(WAAAAY into the future....you know....) To duck into a Quik Trip along the way and aks for a Hotzi Jalapeno Cheddar Bagel Dog. I wouldn't know, personally.

Okay so all morning despite being busy getting groceries (all junk except the eggs) and buying bushes at the nursery and cleaning the basement I've been thinking about fooooooooood.. most specifically donairs. So now I'm trying to figure out a way to simulate the sweet sauce that is popular in Canada (created in Halifax, not the garlic sauce) to make a donair salad sans pita. There is one on reddit that might work but I'll have to wait a week or so to try.. so want it now. Okay enough of food talk for me. Off to tidy the rest of the house.

Stan, your frustration about being on plan and being stuck is exactly how I have felt all month. It is so discouraging, but we must persevere. Stay strong (and i hate bagels, Thank goodness)

Today is a good. I'm not doing fasting today or tomorrow. Start most likely Sunday{As it is the first day of the week.
Just listen to body it will most likely tell u when to stop. Our heads play the biggest part. I think it is us that wants to eat{Not so much as the body. If You really want something and good healthy life ,We have to fight.
I like to do 5 day fast but 4 days is a push for me. So doing it a day at a time. But as long as I can do 3-4 days{Till I can get pass 4 Ok.
Plus, I have to remember I exersice and sauna, and steam. So my body is pushed.
plus i really do not have a lot to loose.{If any, But I'm heading for 110 lbs.
That book From Dr. Fung is good. If u are thinking about doing fasting.[Get it.
Stan. You have done so much for our group. You keep us going and wanting to try fasting and u pull us. Thank u.
We just need to keep going.
