Good Caramel Sauce?

I'm hoping to find a commercially made low carb product, in a jar. I looked on Netrition and they only show Torani's, but I want the thick creamy kind, like good old Smuckers.

Plan B would be a good recipe!

Sunny - I don't know of a good sugar free commercially prepared sauce, but I do have a super easy recipe:

Ridiculously Easy Caramel Sauce
(adapted from a high carb recipe by Chris Scheuer)

Ingredients
• 1 stick butter, 4 ounces
• ¾ cup dark brown sugar sub (I use Sukrin Gold with a tablespoon tablespoon of Truvia brown)
2 T Sukrin Gold syrup or Vita Fiber (optional, but it helps keep it pourable)
• ½ cup whipping or heavy cream
• 1 teaspoon vanilla or vanilla bean paste
• a pinch of sea salt

Instructions
1. Melt butter in a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and Vita Fiber and whisk vigorously to combine.
2. Add cream. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add vanilla and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until combined. Serve warm or allow to cool. Stir vigorously, then store in refrigerator. Mixture will thicken as it cools. After refrigeration, warm slightly in the microwave or on the stovetop.

Delicious!

Smuckers makes a sugarfree caramel ice cream topping. It's good too (don't ask me how I know this!) - not sure where I found it, but check the ice cream toppings in your local supermarkets and failing that, you can probably buy it on Amazon.

Thanks, everyone: I found the Smuckers at my Walmart (yummy!), and also bought some Smuckers Chocolate SF Sundae Syrup...I'm set! BTW, looking at Smuckers caramel at Walmart.com, it says "discontinued". I don't know if that is at the Smuckers level, or just Walmart, but there was plenty on the shelf, and you can still get it by the case at Amazon.

I've noted the recipes; they look great. Now during gardening season, whatever I can do to minimize time in the kitchen is valuable, and having the jar of Smuckers in the 'frig for an occasional drizzle suits me fine!

Also when I was in Walmart I saw a brand of salad dressing which I hadn't seen before: Skinny Girl, which is SF & FF, and low calorie. I got the Honey Dijon and also Raspberry Vinagerette, and like them both.

Walmart here also carries SF BBQ sauce, it's in with the other BBQ sauces and there are two flavors, original and hickory. They're good when I don't feel like making my own BBQ sauce!

It's G. Hughes Smokehouse brand.

I can vouch for both the alldayidreamaboutfood and sugarfreemom caramel recipes. Sugarfreemom’s is the same ingredients as the one posted above, but with microwave directions. Quick and delicious! I also use Vitafiber syrup and a brown sugar substitute instead of the Sukrin Gold.

Over the weekend, I made the rich vanilla ice cream from this forum and swirled in the caramal sauce and pecans. Making another batch tomorrow!

Char, thanks for the tip on G. Hughes Smokehouse BBQ...I got the Hickory flavor, and it is wonderful! Between that, Smuckers Caramel & the Skinny Girl dressings, my quality of life has gone way up, in the past few days
