Sugar's Chicken Liver Snappies

Pound of Chicken Livers
Pound of Sugar Free Bacon
Toothpicks

Cook Chicken Livers in Boiling Salted Water for 20 Minutes or until tender. Wrap each one in a 1/2 slice of Bacon and secure with a Toothpick. Place on Cookie Sheet and Place in a 450 Degree Oven until Bacon is Crisp and Brown. Flip um over a time or two while cooking. Pull them out let um cool and dip them in HM Basil Mayo, HM Sour Cream Dressing or HM Blue Cheese Dressing.

I'd love those, and I'd get them all to myself, because DH won't TOUCH liver!

I think my Mom used to do rumaki - chicken livers and water chestnuts, wrapped in bacon, marinated in a sort of teriyaki sauce, baked til crispy. She and my sister wouldn't eat them either so my Dad and I ate them up!

My husband is the same way Char, but my oldest son loves these. He loads them up with Hot Sauce and eats um like candy.

Do you think it would make much difference if you pan sauteed them instead of boiling?

I can't see where it would hurt, might even improve them.

Definitely will be trying these. I've always just pan fried chicken livers in butter. I have had them dipped in batter and deep fried to, but that was at a fried chicken place.
