TUESDAY’S ROLL CALL, APRIL 17

Glad your power returned to you, Susan!

Silas kept us busy, but it was ok.

See you Tuesday morning!

I feel like my life is out of my control anymore. So much going on. I went out yesterday and bought long pants (my others are so tight around my waste I can’t breathe, ha) and a cute sweater to wear to the wedding. Going to be chilly in St. Louis.

The allergist is giving me an extra 2 weeks on my shots since I’m off all meds and have no hives, how great is that.

Had a great time with the boys visiting. They went back home to 28 degrees, yikes.

Having breakfast with my friend from New Brunswick, Canada this morning, then a hair cut.

Hoping all have good weather today.

Ginny, isn’t that great, to hopefully feel the hives might finally have an end point, it’s been such a long haul....... I’m glad you have chosen to be comfortable at the wedding I understand the feeling of life being out of your control though, I finally had to believe that, for myself, it never really Was in my control, even before my husband died. And that makes me uncomfortable most of the time. What a weather change for your friend from New Brunswick, Canada! Hope your haircut comes out good.

There is a concert by “Asleep At The Wheel” at the old courthouse/concert building in downtown McKinney on July 21, I bought tickets for my daughter in law and myself, front row, she likes Western Swing music, thankfully.

It got down to 59 degrees this AM, so the next cold front won’t be so bad.

Be back later.

It was 32 when I walked Ziva this morning. Someone posted on Facebook it was the 96th of January!

Stay safe and warm

That was me Anne. LOL!
We had an ice storm this weekend 3 days of it and I lost power yesterday afternoon for 5 hours. Some are still without power this morning. Thankfully, it is warming up, we have 34F presently so the ice should start to thaw soon and things can get back to normal.

Doris, Good for You snagging those tickets. Yay! Something Fun to look forward to.

Ginny, That is wonderful news...no hives! Bravo...you did it!

Julie, Great that you got that phantom heating sorted promptly.

Waving to All and hope to check back later...

I seem to be drawn to the new site so look for any of my brilliant writings there.
So far, the heater is working fine. I sure needed it this morning with temps in the 40’S.

Anne, that’s some kind of low temp for Georgia, middle of April! Will your daughter take Ziva while you are on your trip?

Susan, your power outages reminded me of all the times we lost power while living in the mountains, Josh and Zach thought it was kind of fun as kids, but it was a big annoyance. We didn’t get a generator installed until after the boys moved away. Usually caused by blizzards or flooding. How is Levi doing, does Ella get to see him every day?

Yes Julie, I’m glad you had that heater thing checked out, to be sure the system was safe.

I’m worried about my trees out back, I want my other daughter in law to really look at them. The guy she has that does her yard has been here several years ago to prune one tree, I might have to have him come again.

Good morning,
Garden helper is coming today and Thursday. So much to do as it has been raining buckets almost every day.
Have a good one.

Doris, I'm having a house and puppy sitter come stay at the house while Zach and I are on the trip. He and I went to high school together. He used to teach at the college here so has some friends still. He is looking forward to being here. In our chatting about his stay we discovered that he and my daughter both worked at a book store here in town and knew one another but both worked part time so crossed paths some but not a lot. Neither knew of my connection. Small world. I know Ziva is just a dog but I hate leaving her so long alone and he'll take care of her meds and she will have someone here at night with her.

I thought it was you that posted that Susan but since I wasn't 100% took the easy someone!

Later
Anne

Unbelievable we have 70s today with plenty of sunshine. Hope this sticks. I am anxious to get started on yard flowers.

Will attend a volunteer dinner this evening. It is to honor the volunteers at Hospice. I think I am due for my 10 year anniversary pin. We will see.

Ocali you might think about a shawl. I use them frequently when the situation might turn cold. I have crochet a few of them for myself. Some are warmer than others.

Glad you made it over here to the new neighborhood Susan.

Anne is there a dollar adjustment for Euros and American dollars? Just wondering

Ginny so happy for you on the hives. The medicine has finally kicked in.

Anne, Did I miss something...where in Europe are you going?
I hope the exchange was favourable for you.

Loretta, I am with you, can't wait to see some colour around after all this white.

Babette, I hope your garden guy shows.

Doris, Yes Ella is with Levi every day after school. Thank you for asking.

Susan. I am taking Zach on a cruise from Lisbon to London on a small ocean going vessel. Only 260 passengers. Lots of lectures. It's put on by the Smithsonian. We will go from Portugal to Spain then to France with a day at Normandy Beaches with David Eisenhower as the leader/specialist. Then up the Chanel by Dover's white Cliffs and end in London. Zach has always been fascinated with D-Day so the rest is fluff as far as he is concerned. I hope it's a good cruise. I'm getting very excited.
This is his college graduation gift.

Oh WOW! that sounds like a fantastic cruise. Thank you for updating me.

Bravo Anne, for finding something that interests Zach for his graduation present. You are creating a good memory for him.

You will both get a good flavour of Europe with visiting the different Countries. Enjoy every minute!
