Stan....Another great post. Thanks for the chuckles. Keep them coming.

Angela...Sounds like your Uncle needs a different "recovery" place. I hope you guys find a good place for him. How did they determine that he didn't have a stroke? MRI or CT Scan? Or did "they" just decide?

Gotta run.....

I did not buy eggs yesterday after all and had a bacon, cheese, cheese dog medley for dinner. It was surprisingly good. I finished the sunflower seeds which were already shelled late at night, so that was most likely the reason for the gain. I keep them around for salads, but should keep the unshelled ones around for snacking. I did make it to the gym to do the elliptical. I don't love exercising for the most part, so my latest coping mechanism is to do intermittent reading and listening to music. I'll read for half a mile then listen to my iphone for half a mile. It really makes the time fly by.
I lost about 4 pounds in my 3.75 day egg fast, so that was pretty good. I will definitely do it again, and will probably do it the last few days of the month.
Groovy, 75 pounds is FANTASTIC Great job!

I was just reading an article about how fat leaves the body. It's actually exhaled! Yes, we breath out the fat Fat is made up mainly of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. When you lose weight, the fat breaks down by oxidation. Its an article called, Exhaled Pounds: How Fat Leaves the Body. Even when not eating too well I keep my focus by reading articles and watching "My 600-lb life" This keeps me motivated. Also for some motivation, I'm getting onto an airplane in a week to fly to Chicago to meet up with DH. I fit fine but hate the fear in their eyes when they see me coming... Its Southwest so I get to pick my seat which makes it better. Last time I chose to sit by some kids. I don't mind kids. They ended up switching with their mom and so there was an empty seat between us which was nice. I also like the window seat.

Judy, I think it was a CT scan that showed he didn't have a stroke but I'm not 100% sure. My mom was in Dallas for a week or so before I became more involved. That was the hospital that determined it. There is some discussion about moving him so we'll see. He's also my Godfather

Shannon, you are doing so well!

My niece and nephew are here since Thursday evening. Wow...kids these days are so needy. I don't remember needing to be entertained so much when I was young. They are also the pickiest eaters on the planet...especially my nephew. They are 11 and 8 yo. I'm still keeping the junk out of the house so that keeps me on track too.

Interesting factoid Angela!

Maybe we should all be hyperventilating! I remember a FANTASTIC Chiropractor (who actually restored my health decades ago, a long story...tell me as a youngster that our Phys Ed classes in school should include bending over and touching our toes a few times, several slow, FULL deep breaths and sloooowly exhaling, Saluting the Flag, and standing at attention, completely still..... while listening to the National Anthem.

Good words!

That wouldn't hurt any of us! (Caveats to non Americans of course. Could substitute "Oh Canada" or whatever.)

Shannon....Good job. I'm going to have to do an egg fast with OMAD soon.

Ang...If they did a CT they could definitely tell if he had a stroke. That's strange that his symptoms are so close to a stroke, yet he didn't have one. However, everyone IS different. It amazes me that doctors get it right so often considering.

Stan...Are you doing OMAD along with the egg fast or more meals/day but all of them eggs? Lookin' good so far.

Sammi...Congrats on getting back into the One Hundreds. I look forward to the day when I'm where you are.

Looks like most of who've posted are having a pretty great weekend so far. Hopefully some of those who haven't are doing good too, and just didn't have time to get to a computer.

NO! And I dislike that part. I've got ZERO clue why this works. No science that I can find, at all, but I won't let that stop me on anything else. I'm trying to follow "the rules" as posted by Jimmy Moore on this one, just because....

Methinks that the Egg Fast per se....is actually just very strict KETO. And that's what makes it work. (Just a hunch) Plus changing up the routine keeps your body off of its God given design to keep you in a more or less constant state. That works just great, if you've never gotten really obese, sick, or abused yourself into metabolic dysfunction, butt that would NOT be my case.

If'n can ever get....um...er.....My Excrement Integrated........wink wink....(pause to reflect) maybe I can come to appreciate my body's tendancy to keep itself in a steadier state. But at this point my body is confused with 30+ years of yo yo dieting.

I like Intermittent Fasting a lot, and I think there's science behind that. If I need to do another Egg Fast, I'll try eating them all in a 4 or 6 hour window. Because that just suits me.

I'm averaging 9 (large) eggs a day, tons of butter, 50 grams of Broccoli Sprouts (cause I raised 'em dangit!) and 2 or 3 ounces of Cheese. 15 hunnert or so calories, and WOWEE, it's easy to go way over that goal with mostly eggs and butter. People try to hide their SHOCK when I tell them I'd like to supply my calories from around 75% fat. Or more. Maybe 80% on a good day. "That's a lot of FATTTTTT!!! they're thinking. "Must be hard to do!"
.
.
.
No, grasshoppah. It isn't.

Getting that many fat calories is easy. (Not to mention delicious.)

Gotta get back to Church.

Later friends.... Keep up the good fight!

I couldn't do OMAD on an eggfast. I can't eat more than 2 eggs at a time and then I'm full for hours!

Angela - that is so interesting about the way we lose fat. I've always wondered this.

Well I'm off today to go camping with my kids for couple of days. See you all when I get back. KUTGW!

Great Sammi to see you back in the 100s!
Have a blast camping Shannon. I grew up tent camping as a kid. We also had a boat and would go water skiing and later tubing when that became popular. I wish I could have given that life to my son but it didn't work out that way.
Judy, his inability to use his hand is the part that doesn't work for him but maybe its because he was laying on it for a couple days when he fell? His face seems only slightly off like a stroke. He's also unable to walk when before he was walking just fine.

We are going to Dallas tomorrow morning. We are leaving very early from Mom's house. My mom is so silly. She was excited to give me a job while we were there. She says, "Your uncle's car needs inspected so you can take it to get that done!" oh boy? hmmm. I'm going mostly for moral support for my mom but also to see my uncle.

I'm exhausted and need to be back to eating well. I'm not sleeping well and tired feeling all the time. :::sigh:::

I told The Queen yesterday, I'd hit the 95#milestone since Christmas, and she axed me how far I "intend to take this"? When I told here I'd like to lose another 40 or so, she ripped me a new opening.

(Okay. That's an exaggeration.)

But it did get me to thinking... an odd activity for me, admittedly. With all this new found flabby skin, how much is too much?

I doubt that extra skin is going anywhere, but it'll be a cold day in July, before anybody is gonna see it, except my wife or a mortician, and it's the mortician who I'm trying to avoid by all the weight loss in the first place. That, and I CAN'T TELL YOU how much better I feel than I did 7 months ago!!! It is astonishing. Really.

I've still got waay too many eggs in the fridge, so I'm probably going to do a bit more Egg Fasting for a couple more days.

Have a GREAT week everyone!

I gotta go drink something.

This is a tough barrier to break through. I can't do an egg fast; I can't eat too many eggs in a given week. Plus I love them and wouldn't want to risk becoming averse to them. I'm already averse to steak. This happens to me periodically; haven't been able to eat steak in a couple years. I'm to the point where I can eat meatloaf again, but it's too hot to make one.

Stan...So...what is your eating schedule on an average egg-fast day? Hours and #of eggs. You are doing fantastic.

Susan...Why can't we get averse to carbs? Now THAT would be a good thing.

Judy---

Get averse to carbs?

Never gonna happen.

In fact, I was thinking after I posted that those are the only foods I never got sick of in my entire life. lol.

Ugh. What a stupid month July is. I don't want to complain because I've lost 100 lbs in 6 months, but JFC I'm so sick of bouncing around all month.

I've been posting a lot on my insta and I talk about it there if you guys want to read that or see pics of my frustration. Also, my husband and daughter went skydiving yesterday. That was amazing! (Boo-hoo, I'm over the weight requirement of 250. But since I've never wanted to exit a plan that wasn't safely on the ground, I'm AOK with that. )

I worked my butt off yesterday. I deserved a whoosh this morning. Grrrrr. Also, I couldn't find my regular lid for my Tervis tumbler, so I pulled one out of the drawer and it is giving off an odd motor oil aftertaste. Double grrr.

Bloodhound I used to have a Tervis or two. I'm all Yeti now, and Yeti knock offs.

I'm completely bewildered as to why Yeti can charge so much, because the Ozark Trail knockoffs at Walmart are identical inside and out, except for the (embossed) branding. If they're not made in the same plant in China, I'd be surprised. I've seen some youtube comparison videos, where they saw them apart and look at the guts. Exact same thing, and the performance is identical.

I threw all my Tervis stuff away.

YMMV

You're having a great month though, as is Terri, Bronwyn, Judy, Groovy....I'm sure I'm overlooking someone.

Holly, stay the course. You're still an inspiration! (Mine, anyhow) Terri I'm still watching out for your Mojo.

We're missing some folks.

I was in a situation all weekend where I couldn't eat 100% low carb without a bunch of prep and I'm still in the mode of taking advantage of that situation to eat high carb all day. I wasn't able to prep for it because I was feeling really lousy with a cold last week and didn't feel like going grocery shopping. I'll be in the same boat next weekend but I really hope to prep for that.

I can't do an egg fast either. I normally love eggs but even when I eat them for two meals a day, I start to get literally sick feeling from them. I'm also not a fan of extreme diet restrictions as they typically backfire on me. Luckily for me (at least now) all I have to do to lose weight is lay off the sugar and flour. I just need to stay consistent and NOT CHEAT! I know eventually I'll get it right. Getting into the 100s is a huge focus for me right now.

Judy I neglected to answer your question. A typical Egg Fast day (for me) looks like this:

2 Eggs, 2 T Butter.........Breakfast
3 Eggs, 2-3 T Butter......Lunch
3-4 Eggs, 2-3 T Butter...Supper

Throw in a couple of cheese snacks of an ounce or two and that's it. Today is the first day I've had cream in my coffee--42 grams.

Kit you're still doing great, Same Food Fatigue or not! I'm an odd one, for sure, but I don't get food fatigue. I'm only continuing with my Egg Fast for a couple more days, 'cause I've got so many in the fridge. I could eat whatever I choose to eat, no matter how many days I've been in a rut with that very same food. Meat Loaf??? I'm ALWAYS in for Meat Loaf!! The only other person on the planet I know well that has the same hard wiring as me, is my youngest son, the vegan. And for VEGANS, that UNIfood tendancy will almost certainly end up in disaster. Not good....

I enjoy variety, but I don't need it, and I'm sorry for you. My wife is "smoked out" right now, because I so love barbecuing I did it to her, accidentally. My oldest son will NEVER eat another banana until he sheds his mortal coil. Same reason. (I hope there will be bananas in Heaven, but I digress....)

I'm stalling. I need to go print a job I hate to print.

Later.....

<edit> and a few sprouts, mostly Broccoli or Alfalfa. Or Maybe Mung Bean Sprouts. Technically a cheat.

I didn't go off plan at all while away, in fact missed a few meals due to circumstances. Calories weren't out of control or anything. I really thought I see a good drop since I'm still in my first two weeks. I am super disappointed.

Onwards I go, still on plan today despite being day three of some severe laryngitis. I have no voice, can barely swallow and am feeling sorry for myself.
