Great minds think alike!! That is EXACTLY what I was thinking when I pulled them from the pan to make the Monkey Bread!

I'm also thinking to bake them like you are doing the start of the Monkey bread (in the mini-muffin pan) but not add the cinnamon/sugar and then take them out and fry them the rest of the way till they are done to really make a donut hole and then add the cinnamon sugar as you would a donut!!

Oh wow I can taste them already. I'm almost out of sugars so I will have to wait for my netrition order plus I need to come up with something to insert the filling with bet I am sooo going to try it.

Anyone have any ideas about sweet adaptations of this form of English muffins? What about streusel topping on muffin top muffins? What about cream cheese danish?

Anyone have any luck in these sorts of things? I can't experiment until the weekend.

BUMP because I just LOVE this Monkey Bread and hoping you will, also!

For those you who can't or don't want to do the flax meal this works well with nut flours like Almond mixed with a little coconut or just plain almond flour in place of the flax meal.

Oh, thanks Beeb. I don't care for flax, so it's good to know you can use the other flours. This sounds and looks so good!

I put everything I make either in the freezer or fridge and I just pop a section/serving into the microwave until they are warm. They taste just as good this way the next day or days later!
