I'm going to add some of the corn flavoring to Ouzoids egg white and psyllium tortillas! See if they taste like corn tortillas..wouldn't that be the greastest? And make Peggys corn bread too...

What a great idea! I bought the flavoring but have not used it yet. Let us know how they turn out.

I tried this with Mama Lupes lc tortillas, and was pleased with the result. Just let a little fall on the tortilla, gingerly, spread it around quickly with my finger, then lightly sprinkled on a tiny bit of Splenda, for the sake of "corn" sweetness--then let it settle in for a few minutes and fried it, to crisp and puff. Too much of that stuff, though, and you'd probably be sorry you took a bite.

Clever idea, Creek! I might try that and then dust a smidge of corn bran on it while it's still damp and THEN fry. Both additives might be even better?

Might well be (assuming it stayed on, which with the slight moisture of the corn flavor, I'm guessing it would).

By the way, when I said "too much of this stuff," I meant the corn flavor, not the the total final product. (Although too much of the latter might give me indigestion.)

Oh, I knew that's what you meant. No, you sure wouldn't want too much of that.

Can someone direct me to Sherrilee's cornbread recipe? The link in this thread doesn't work.

Thanks!
