WOE: DANDR Induction, work out EVERY DAY!
Start Date: It's now or never...
Boy, did I go off plan yesterday!!!

Between a friend's shower at work (cake, chips and queso) and taking kiddo out to dinner (Chinese, mostly meat and veggies but a few fried shrimp, dumplings, and half a scoop of ice cream) my carb count was not exactly induction-friendly!

As Scarlett said, "Tomorrow is another day..." Well today is yesterday's tomorrow, and breakfast was two eggs and a slice of bacon! Back to low carb land!

And for further inspiration...

That is right jump back in, I think everybody has bad days but the key is to get right back at the program. Don't let one day get you down because you have many more days to be good ones!!!

Way to go getting right back on track - it's when you let a slip become a slide that it becomes a problem.

Today has been wonderful! Eating clean, now cooking my dinner of chicken and broccoli with sauted mushrooms, spent time by the pool, have a start of a nice tan, worked on a lot of homework, did laundry, went for a swim, had a good workout (cry fat, cry!) and am now settling for an evening of...

more homework. Oh well, it'll pay off down the road.

It's too bad that so many of us have been raised to feel such shame, guilt, and self-hatred, when the opposite, positive qualities of love, acceptance, and forgiveness is the path to take.

Geneen Roth said it best in her book, "Women, Food, and God."

Chapter 6 - Reteaching Loveliness

Paragraph 3, and 4:

"Diets are based on the unspoken fear that you are a madwoman, a food terrorist, a lunatic. Eventually you will destroy all that you love and so you need to be stopped. The promise of a diet is not only that you will have a different body; it is that in having a different body, you will have a different life. If you hate yourself enough, you will love yourself. If you torture yourself enough, you will become a peaceful, relaxed human being.

Although the very notion that hatred leads to love and that torture leads to relaxation is absolutely insane, we hypnotize ourselves into believing that the end justifies the means. We treat ourselves and the rest of the world as if deprivation, punishment, and shame lead to change. We treat our bodies as if they are the enemy and the only acceptable outcome is annihilation. Our deeply ingrained belief is that hatred and torture work. And although I've never met anyone--not one person--for whom warring with their bodies led to longlasting change, we continue to believe that with a little more self-disgust, we'll prevail."

Happy that you are doing what helps you feel good about yourself!

Everyone has a little slip now and then. Pick yourself up and get back on plan! We do our best and sometimes life provides a little "speed bump" but get up and keep going on your new woe.
