OneStepAtATime, Welcome!!!

Those are some great results you're getting! It sounds like Callanetics is indeed working for you! It sounds like you're a lot closer to you pre-kiddo body!

Bacon! Keep it up! And don't worry about comparing yourself to others or what you think you *should* be. You are where you're at, and the only one you need to compare to is yourself. When you do the half an hour, are you doing half the pulses or half the exercises, doing AM/PM? I only have the older basic versions, and find I like to do half the pulses instead of stopping halfway and then continuing (my preference).

I love when I combine Callanetics with playing outside. It makes my body feel like it's capable of anything!

Hi everyone, sounds like you're all doing well.

I've completed 4 hours of Callanetics this week, doubt I'll have time to do anything this weekend since I'm visiting my parents to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. My sister and BIL are doing a BBQ so fingers crossed the weather stays nice.

I've lost another inch from my waist since last week so it's now smaller then it was when I started Callanetics so I'm over the moon I've also now got a mini trampoline to try and get some cardio workouts in while watching tv. I've seen the cardio Callanetics in the fit forever book, but I haven't had time to properly read it yet to understand it fully. Does anyone know if there is a video to accompany the cardio Callanetics? Or is it only described in the book? I think I work better watching things first before following it in only from the book but will try to get my head around what I'm supposed to be doing if there isn't

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm just waiting for my husband to get home then it's my treat meal of the week, fish and chips and I can't wait

Congrats on your achievements OnStepAtATime!
I really like the Cardio Callanetics video. I didn't know it was in a book!?

..........

My body is loving eating low fructose/fructans! I'm stronger, more alert, have more energy, have no inflammation, have no bloating, no aches and pains, and have more definition!

Combine that with Callanetics, and Wow! It's amazing! My body is reacting to Callanetics like it did in my 20's!

Well done!

There's a chapter about it with a routine in the Callanetics fit forever book. It's got a full cardio routine in there, followed by a half hour Callanetics routine. I don't know if it's the same as the moves in the DVD but I'll take a look when I get home from work and at some of the names of the moves to see if they seem familiar to you.

Ive definitely over indulged this weekend, and I haven't done any Callanetics or any exercise really unless you count walking around a boot sale while pushing a pushchair lol. Will try to get back to it tonight.

I've been having to get up with the crows to get anything done with the heat we've been having here. But then, I've always felt better when I begin my day like this - the early and the movement.

Thanks!

Yes, that's exactly what the video is - Cardio followed by a short version of Evo. Interesting. You're the first person here to mention this is all in a book! Now I'm curious about the book!

Just had a look in the book. There's a warm up of 6 moves, then the cardio, followed by barre movements, then 30 minutes of Callanetics. The cardio is step touch, plié leg lift, cross waltz, waltz pull then the waltz pull forward.

I think I'll need to read it a few times to understand what I'm supposed to be doing working from the descriptions and the photos.

It strange I've not seen anyone mention this book in this thread. It's one of her later books and appears to have been published in 1996. I quite like it because it's split into 2 parts. The first is how to be fit forever. I have only just started to read it but she gives tips on how your body changes with age, how to strengthen your heart, eating healthily and dealing with stress. The second half describes a basic Callanetics routine, then cardio Callanetics, and finishes with special routines and maintenance plans. I think this book combined with the 10/10 is brilliant. I'm quite a visual person when it comes to exercising so think I would have struggled with the Callanetics portion since there are no photos, other than in the cardio Callanetics chapter.

It's quite hot over here at the moment, although it probably isn't for most people. It's 28 degrees Celsius and I feel like I'm melting because it's just so humid and there's no breeze at all. I think I need to invest in some more fans for the house.

Early morning Callanetics are working out well for me. I've been able to do them about 6 times per week and it feels right!

ok an hour done!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO 4.5 out of 10. I'm getting there..

Ok so the other day at my daughters elementary graduation. A random woman asked me when I was due (at first I was upset, I hid it) But then later in the afternoon I got excited. I totally forgot how after doing a few hours things look worse before looking better (I have a tiny waist, and usually very flat belly).
I have noticed my belly has a kind of jiggly poof look to it, So that means I should start noticing amazing results by the end of this month.
Certain places I have already noticed results.. I feel like my arms are toning up a little and I can no longer knock myself out while waving at someone down the block lmao. BABY STEPS BABY STEPS!

Thanks for the reminder. My belly is still looking kinda pregnant. No one ever asks me when I'm due
Lately I have been averaging 3-4 Callanetics workouts per week. Maybe I will try the early morning thing too. The day just gets away from me sometimes. I really want to get up to 5-6 per week again.

Oh, is that what I'm supposed to look like. Note to self, more graceful, less like a stomping hippo

Ooo yay! It's only happened once to me and I panicked at first because I thought I'd made my stomach look worse but it's amazing how it flattens afterwards. So excited for you!

I've slacked a little so far this week, I need to get back into the habit of Callanetics again. I've only managed two sessions this week but I have done some dance exercises and a little bit of Pilates that I found on YouTube. Need to keep reminding myself that I'm doing a lot more than I did a few months ago, and as long as I do something everyday I'll get there

Have a good weekend everyone!

Getting my butt out of the chair now

QueenBacon, you're killing it! And good for you for turning that comment around! That body of yours is in the midst of a major transformation. It's wonderful!
