Mary~IKWUM!! It seems like when I put the exercise in and the scale doesn't reward me I feel so pissed .I just need to remind myself its only a number, whether it shows up as a loss or not we should try to move out bodies just because we can ,! Some people can't even get out of bed and wish they could even just walk so what am I bellyaching about right?

Hi-
Mary-Like Joy responded, I do know what you mean too! As long as we are doing our best at being healthy, any loss should be acknowledged and celebrated. Each journey starts with the first step and then the next and the next.... Lots of factors make it hard to lose-age, health, proportion left to lose. Hang in there!

Joy-congrats on the 2 pound loss and getting out to do stuff! I am right there with you with getting angry when the scale doesn't go the way I expect it/think it should. Like you said, I get reminded I should count my blessings because things could always be worse. I'm hoping to lose 12-16 pounds by Easter too -which is on April Fools Day this year-Hope my scale doesn't play any tricks on me!

I'm trying hard to stay on track and not get discouraged. I bounced up the other day after hitting that low. I'm not sure why but am just doing my best to distract myself. I figure it has to come back off some how, some way, some time...

Hope the weekend and holiday go well for you!--Laura

Laura~the up and down on the scale can be any number of things. Sometimes its just a matter of too salty a meal or needing to go to the ahem....bathroom lol.For me I can't do the every day, because it does have definite result on my emotions. I find that it works better for to weigh no more than once or twice a month, cause I get so easily discouraged.

Well it appears that the steroid injection hasn't helped ,well I gave it a shot .... Literally lol.that sure, was a waste I of time and money.

Hey! Everyone is doing so well, yay!!

I had a pretty bad autoimmune flare up in my GI tract that had me out sick a couple of days and then wake and funeral for a dear friend that just passed. My weight bounced around alot due to the inflammation but it's back to 175 now. I had to cut out the dairy. I knew before keto I couldn't eat it and it turns out, I still can't! I'm getting lots of fats from avocados and coconut cream so it's ok.

So far this month I'm still down 6lbs. Even if I don't lose any more this month (but I have 8 more days so hopefully I lose at least 1-2 more!!) I'm still doing better than I was doing when I was gaining or not losing at all.

Mary, I feel the same way when my app tells me in five weeks I should weigh 166lbs STOP FILLING MY HEAD WITH FALSE HOPES! If only it came off that quickly...

accountability check in:

Was in Tucson for a visit to the gem show. Walked 5 miles. Lost 4 more pounds of a 32 pound regain. Now down 21 pounds, 12 more to get into Onederland.

Hope y’all are hanging tough. I’m still chipping away at it.

Hey thanks for the check in , that is so great that you are only 12 pounds Away From Wonderland way to go!

Well I fixed some Meatballs and red gravy with Italian sausage and I used zucchini for my noodles for dinner . It came out pretty good so I have leftovers for today. Housework today that's always fun and laundry. The only way I could get through doing housework is I have my Disco on. I will check back later hope everyone has a great day.

Red gravy? What's that, joyful?

Congrats Harriet, that's awesome. 2/3 of the way back to goal?

Cynthia, how do you know you're having a flare up? There are times I suspect I accidentally ate some gluten but it's hard for me to say for sure so I'm curious if you've learned ways to tell.

Laura!

I won't write much now but I've been really stressed
Trying to focus on the positive

Hi Mary! Flare-ups are extremely painful. My abdomen swells to nearly double the size, I have fatigue, joint pain, rash, sometimes with fever. I'm not sure if you want TMI but also bowel movements are thin as a pencil if they happen at all. As the flare begins to subside, they start to gradually increase back to normal size.

I hope everything gets better soon.

Mary ~ LOL that's just what I call meat sauce or better known as spaghetti sauce. That used to kill me to eat before my surgery cuz I also had a hiatal hernia which he fixed along with doing my sleeve. I didn't even have to eat anything in the morning and I was already having heartburn. Just for the fact of getting that taken care of was worth the surgery in itself.

Well I went walking around the neighborhood trying to get some circulation into my legs. I will have 10,000 steps before the day's out. I would not have minded walking a little more but my right foot was going numb by the toes. I thought that was taken care of with my surgery but evidently not. What a bummer
