Ihop Omelettes???

Hey guys!!!

I'm taking my sister out for breakfast tomorrow morning for her birthday. I"m thinking Ihop looked pretty safe???

Are they still putting pancake batter in their eggs and omelets???

I'm doing Induction right now and really trying to be as strict as possible!!!

Thanks for your help!!!

Yes. Just ask for your order to be made with real eggs.

I would also double check. Just ask the waiter, now that means no pancake batter, right? Makes me wonder, how many gluten sensitive people have they made sick?

Hmmm thanks guys!!!!

Anyone actually gone to Ihop recently and had a good experience with not being exposed to any gluten or pancake batter of any kind in their omelets???

Wonder how bad the sausage and bacon are????

Are there any other Low carb options that would be better???

Thanks guys for all your help!!!

I love their veggie omelette. Just ask for real eggs, not omelette mix. We were just there over the weekend.

I've asked for real eggs and whether I got them or was "battered" I have no idea. I felt fine afterwards and it didn't impact my weight loss. If you are nervous, you could always order fried eggs and bacon.

AND WE WONDER why people are so addicted and obese cause of eating out.

an OMLETTE with MORE than just eggs go figure (other than what we ask added extra like shrooms and cheese)

Their omelettes scare me so I order their pork chop breakfast which comes with two yummy grilled pork chops and I get eggs over easy with it (it also comes with pancakes and hash browns and those go to my 6 year old son).

I never knew they used pancake mix in their omelettes. Wow!

If it were me I would definitely order my eggs fried if I were eating there. When eating breakfast out I always get an omelette or scrambled eggs but I wouldn't trust IHOP. As someone with celiac disease I find it unconscionable that they were adding pancake batter to their eggs. And I hadn't heard that they had discontinued the practice although it appears from what others on this thread have said that they may have done so. I wouldn't take the chance.

They haven't; it's just that you can ask for real (plain) eggs instead of the omelette stuff.
