1 more pound to go. Since it takes almost a week to get caught back up, I am thinking that going off every two weeks is too soon. Maybe every three weeks from here on out.
Today I am out of the 220s for the millionth time. Hoping I never see them again...

Bratty - I followed a plan that had good reason to go off once a week. It was a measured off plan day - nothing crazy. But I would gain 4 pounds every time and then it took me the rest of the week to get it off! My body does not work well with that system.

I.Loathe.Chicken Breast.

Seriously, I think this will be the last time I attempt to eat it. I'll stick to the thighs and lose slower.

Finally dropped that last pound. Now my next goal is to get to where I was at the end of January... 3 lbs to get to that goal.

Egg and sausage for breakfast
Turkey Lunch meat for lunch
a couple deviled eggs for dinner.

Unless I can convince the hubby to throw some meat on the grill today.

Back on track as of today. Idk WTH was up with me. I blame pms I'd always do so well all day at work and then get hungry and slip up post workout. No more excuses. It's crunch time. I'm forcing myself to make all my meals so I don't have to worry about getting hungry. I hope everyone had a great holiday. Let's end this month as strong as we started

Choked down 4pz of chicken breasts at lunch. My male coworker actually makes great chicken breasts, I couldn't get him to agree to make it for me, but I will have to be patient and try his method lol.

I did have a great Easter, and my scale was proof! - Not! But I have taken off all but .5 lb of the holiday gain. I've got my mojo going. I have three weeks until a trip to Texas for a conference. I'll be able to walk a lot there, and choose most of my meals, so I should be ok!

I am back from vacation and back on plan!

I didn't do horribly but I still definitly had some off plan meals but it was a great trip and it was great seeing family I hadn't seen in 5 years.

I am up 4 lbs so I hope to lose that this week and then continue down. I have a month before I go to Vegas and would like to be down 10 lbs by them! It's been so long since I have been in the 170s I would really like to get back there and stay there!

Lunch was 3 grilled chicken breasts chopped up. Dinner was 2 chicken sausages and 2 eggs. I also had a few bites of turkey burger I made for tomorrow's lunch.

Welcome back Mar! Those 4lbs will be gone pretty quick.
We have 9 weeks until we go to the beach. I need to drop at much as possible before then.

2lbs to get back to my before Easter weight...

Having my chicken breasts and they're actually pretty good. I tried a new way and they're less dreadful and dry. I feel like I'm finally back on track and ready to commit. It's amazing how mental dieting is. With the intensity of my workouts and just stress it was easy for me to rationalize little cheats here and there. I have a wedding in exactly two weeks which helps force me to get it in gear, lol. Lack of planning and all my traveling threw me off, but I'm ready to prep my meals this weekend. I even cut out my beloved string cheese!

My mom got me a bunch of frozen chicken breasts, so I think I'm going to just mostly eat those, chicken sausage, eggs and turkey meatballs. The frozen turkey burgers dry out too fast for me.

Happy Friday all.

How are you making your chicken breasts? I meant to ask you yesterday when you mentioned your co-workers chicken. Chicken breasts need all the help they can get.

It is hard giving up the cheese. Good luck! I try to avoid it when on plan but it is one of my favorite things.

Mim, that is awesome for you. You usually have to fight so long and hard for every pound. Are you doing anything different?

I am .4 below my Easter weight. Now 2 lbs to get the my end of January weight. Small goals!

I am thinking all these meats combined would make a great meat salad! which sounds gross, but it could be the new dish of the month for May!!

*Chicken Breast Tips*

Cut chicken breasts into very thin pieces. Make sure the breasts are room temperature and not cold. I defrosted mine and when I was able to slice them, I seasoned them and left them on the counter overnight. I have George foreman with adjustable heat option. I set it to high and let grill heat up up for a min, put breasts on, closed then reduced the heat all the way to low. Let cook for 4 mins or so.

I have two pieces defrosted now, I'm going to try one in the broiler and one on the grill. Just to see how cooking it diff works out.

So far today I've had a can of tuna with farmers cheese (3oz or so) and two boneless ham steaks I've had in my freezer forever. 75 cals each!

Dropped the 2lbs to get back to the end of January's weight already.

Next small goal is to get to 211lbs. (4.5lbs to lose) What I weighed before breaking my ankle and sitting in a wheel chair for six months. I can't believe I gained 20lbs sitting in that thing.

I could never leave them out over night. I am too paranoid of food poisoning. I laid on my bathroom floor for days last time. I may try the method with cold chicken. Thanks for the info!

I gained more than 20 sitting in the wheelchair after I broke mine. But I was in it for 2 years and 4 surgeries! Oh My!

I went back to old Atkins. I was thinking about how I lost weight before and way back in the old days, when Atkins was new, I followed it and lost weight. Of course back then I didn't have all that much to lose. I don't know if this will work for the long haul but for right now, I'm very happy!

You girls are doing great!!

I think its a great plan to give Atkins another try, MIM. With your schedule and active social calendar it is really the perfect plan to be able to stick to, to not be deprived, to lose weight, and be happy!!

Bratty and Kriss - keep it up!!!! I love the idea of mini goals for motivation and with that wedding coming up, kriss, that is total motivation! Nothing stopping you now!!! I am surprised at how little you eat and still workout, but it just goes to show how powerful QWL really is. Once on track, we only eat what we really need.

So for me... Im kicking myself that I havent gotten down to business already and May is right around the corner. I should have been done by now.

I really dont have a concrete plan at the moment but I better come up with something quick and stick to it! If I had to label what I really want, it would be: Stillmans chick flies the coop, and plans on droppin pounds on plants...preferably potatoes. heeheehee

But... Im stuck on "quick weight loss". So Im teetering back and forth with either going all egg (something I never tried) or the exact opposite and go all potatoes. Oh decisions decisions.... maybe all apple?

Am i allowed to say potato? lol

Hope you all have a great day!! I'll be getting in some stairs cause my bum did not get up and move AT ALL yesterday.

I don't know what my diet is but it is working right now so I will stick with it.
I am definitely higher fat with a few carbs through the day. I pretty much live on one egg and a breakfast sausage (breakfast), deviled eggs w/ turkey bacon (lunch and usually dinner too), 2 cups of decaf a day with creamer that has a couple carbs. We just made a bunch of grilled burgers that have a tiny bit of BBQ sauce on them. I will have pork rinds when I really need something crunchy. Maybe 5- 10 carbs a day. Some days even less. I still post here because I have been on this forum forever.

You will find your groove. You have done it before, you will do it again. Anyone that can do chicken breast for as long as you did has some serious will power.

Many years ago I did plain water and chicken breasts for 3 weeks straight and I have never recovered. I loath chicken breasts still.

I did the egg fast last year for a month and lost 20lbs. I don't think I could ever do it that long again. I would recommend to do it for 3 weeks tho. Tom messes things up and the last week was kind of pointless in terms of losses.
