Post your recipes using Red Mill Low-Carb Baking mix here

Thought we could start a thread on just one ingredient, let's start with Bob's Red Mill Low-Carb baking mix. Trys, fails, etc.

Love this concept- but had no idea Bob Mills had a low carb baking product!

I have a package in the fridge. I used it once for something (I can't remember what). If anyone has ideas, let us know!

I made muffins using it and they tasted terrible - went right in the garbage!

I made some coffee cake that was okay, but at 33 carbs per cup, Bob's is not a "carb bargain". I greatly prefer the performance, taste (and economy) of Kevinpa's flour mixes.

I use it the same as I would Carbquik, but it's strong tasting for a few recipes so I like to cut it with oat fiber or CQ. But it makes good pancakes, good quick muffins and great pizza crust.

I became a fan of the stuff when I found an apple galette recipe from GlamourousBite, and it is WONDERFUL and doesn't taste low carb at all. I have a bulk bag from the website Nuts, it is the same thing as Bob's low carb mix.

I don't have a problem with soy, but I'm focusing more on calories these days so I haven't used it in awhile. I will probably resume once I hit goal.

English, could you post your pizza crust recipe? I hate those cauliflower ones and would like to try yours.
Thanks,

Thanks for letting me know about the soy. I prefer not to use it.

Thanks,

It has been a long time since I've made it, I stopped making pizza altogether because it was just too caloric. But I'll look in my recipe files and see if I can find it. I'm pretty sure it was the recipe on the package, but I tweaked it a little.

By the way, there is a Bob's low carb BREAD mix and a low carb BAKING mix. I'm not sure which one you have. (And to be honest, I've used both and really can't tell a difference. lol)

Tried this before and after making one recipe with it, threw it out. It had a really strong taste and wasn't something I liked at all. I much prefer to use Kevin's flour mix. It is a little more of a pain having to keep the various ingredients and mixing them up, but the taste is so much better.
