SATURDAYS ROLL CALL, MARCH 17

Happy St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t do anything for that.

I need to sleep longer, going to shut the tv off.

Get a good night’s rest. Michele, hope you got a lot done today!

Good morning all,

Am joining some members of the book club for a 5K hike today - hope I can do it without embarrassing myself! It's supposed to be a really nice day.

Hope Babette's feeling a bit better today and is able to get out some.

Doris, how's your foot doing?

Waving to everyone!
Michele

Hello Ladies and Happy St. Patrick's Day.
Had to send DD #2 back home at 3:45 am. She was here for a week. It was so nice. I took a half day off of work and we hung out....went shopping and messed around. I miss my kids being around. But I'm so proud of all of them. Did I tell you DD #1 is moving here in June? Going to live in the basement for awhile while they look for their new home. DSIL is retiring from Army...they aren't even 40 yet....but it's been their plan for years to come to Spokane when done.
DD #3 Got the job she wanted!!! I'm so happy for her. She has been trying since she passed boards in September and had so many rejections. She did get one job offer, but I could tell she didn't really want it....so I encouraged her to hold out for a job she was excited about. Then she got turned down for two more jobs....and I thought "oh man, I've given her bad advice". This one seems like a great fit. She will rotate critical care units at Rush Hospital (she has her MSN in nursing). It's a new program they are initiating for new graduates. Just in time....she is off our health insurance having just turned 26.
Michele enjoy your hike. Hoping all those with ailments are getting some relief.
Oh Doris many ((((HUGS)))). I was on Facebook today and had a re-post appear relating to my mother dying. I can only imagine how getting a phone call out of the blue hurts your heart. I hope the good memories will bring you some degree of comfort. Some people that have gone through loss tell me that they sometimes want their loved ones to be brought up. They say it helps that they aren't forgotten. Do you feel that way? I know my DFIL gets teary when I bring up my DMIL. I try to do it with good memories. Good times we had experienced as a family. I try to acknowledge his ongoing grief and let him talk about missing her. He hasn't complained, but he isn't one that complains much.
I hear birds this morning... spring can't come soon enough.
Enjoy your day ladies. I'm going to put some corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot and stink up the house.
Anybody following the March Madness College basketball?
Eileen

Good morning. Eileen, do you live in Spokane? We were thru there last September!

Sorry for not posting, but this rash, as I am sure Ginny knows, is dominating my life, as it isn't just ugly, it is intrusive, and I hate just posting negative stuff. Ginny, I mixed up another batch of that cream I sent you, and increased the medical component and it is working a little better.

So, on a humorous note, before the Dr came in on Thursday, his medical assistant went thru the standard questionnaire and asked if there was any possibility I was pregnant! LOL, at 70, that was one question I had not been asked for at least 30 years!

Must get back to gardening. Have a good one.

I don’t do anything for St. Pat’s day but remember ladies, I grew up in Yonkers.........we had a parade as did NYC, it was big time stuff. Today I am going to a friends later for corned beef/cabbage, she’s having a group over. None of us are Irish.

Hospital this morning was quiet

I really enjoyed the “do” last night at the clubhouse. Russell (the other half of Steven/Russell) went with me and we sat with friends. Russell is a great dancer so enjoyed that part for sure. I think we got a few “looks” but their problem, not mine.

Babette, yep I do know what you’re talking about. I haven’t had a flare now for a few days and it’s been wonderful. You never know.

Eileen, nice to hear about your girls, they are having great lives.

Hi to Doris, Julie, Loretta and Anne.

St Patrick one a BIG events in Chicago where I hail from. Green beer, green dye in the Chicago River. I wore a bunch of Irish buttons on my green shirt today.

At the Hospice care center this am. Poor nurses they had one fellow who was a wanderer and we found him out in the garden. They had their hands full plus keeping an eye on that fellow. He was probably there for respite for the family.

Beautiful day today, 70s and sunshine.

It's six p.m. And 80 degrees! Yeah!!
I just napped for almost three hours, I'm hoping I can sleep tonight. I feel a little 'off'' but I better not get really sick because I have things to do Monday thru Thursday. Monday-haircut, Tuesday-strawberry festival, Wednesday-area meeting, Thursday-dinner at Olive Garden.
Babette, I hope you're feeling better and to all happy st. Patties day.

Late getting here tonight.

Shopped for Zach’s house today. That mundane stuff like range hoods and new bathroom doors. The car was so full that Zach had to walk home. About a mile and a half. Not a big deal. Glad they didn’t make me walk! Ha.

The Solos had a great night. The show with Jeanne Robertson was just hilarious. She is so funny. Enjoyed ourselves.

Tomorrow I’ll do just enough so no one thinks I’m dead. But not much more

Anne
