Not a lick of snow here. Upper 40s to 50s tomorrow. This is insane!

Tony, I saw where you said your food was 90% good or something like that. I heard somewhere if you were close to 80%, that was pretty darn good.

I weighed today, 219.8. Not as much as I had hoped but, I have been hungrier than usual so have been eating closer to 1600 cals. Oh well. 2.4 lbs is ok for 15 days, I guess.

pork chops are on the way!

yes I have 8 of them in the freezer, 2 to a portion (4 oz a chop). but I do not feel like cooking. so, I get my chicken soup, and a double veggie. because I asked for the large container, there is no salad. I will not throw myself on the 3rd rail. I put a tsp of marinara sauce on each one, and a slice of mozzarella cheese. these are really thick chops. ergo, I will have 1 on its arrival, and the 2nd one, if necessary, 4 hours or more afterwards. I found a sweatshirt with a hood, in the front closet. it has a zipper. it still had the price tag on it. it was a clearance item, and much too small for me, at the time. it is still a bit snug, but by no means cutting off my circulation. I feel very comfy in it. I hope it will noticeably looser by the Ides of Feb., which is the anniversary of my being dumped and discarded on your wretched planet. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

i devoured both chops, dividing 1 tsp...

unsweetened applesauce between them. temporarily, I have the internet back. who knows for how long? needless to say, I had no patience to melt the cheese. I ate or drank the broth, and had a taste of the veggie. I dropped all the detritus down the incinerator. that was my only meal of the day, except for the 4 slices of muenster I had early in the afternoon. so far 2 net grams of carb today. but I will count it as 3, JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE. instead of cheesecake, I will have 1 sesame cookie later with coffee. that will leave me with 2 cookies. btw, I will be home for Christmas. earth bro and sis-in-law are taking a much needed vacation. Hope you find that jicama FF and give us a report on it - yay or nay

I have been cleaning out closets and bagging clothes for planet aid. Most I have held on to hoping to get back into. I finally realized even if I ever could the styles are over the hill.

Still not able to go down steps the correct way. Feel if I could practice in one inch increments it might work. Yesterday came across a one inch thick piece of Styrofoam. Will cut into blocks, stack on top of each other and remove one at a time as I feel confident.

oh boy, am i LAZY!

I fought the good fight with myself...I lost. however, I SHALL be out tomorrow and Tuesday on errands that just can no longer be postponed. today will be SOME t.v, but mostly music, music, music. after the vinyl selection on my classical radio station (wqxr.org/105.9 fm), I will heat up the Chinese ribs, and add some jewish deli mustard. that should take me to about 5 pm. I wish y'all could have seen those pork chops. they tasted as good as they looked. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

abs, i didn't realize you could not go down steps...is this from last year's knee injury?...do you lead with your injured leg, one step at a time?...when i had my hip problem, they told me up with the good leg and down with the bad leg...there are pt exercises that helped me with that part of my recovery...knees are trickier than hips though...

ff, i remember the jicama incident of 2012...hahaha...you were reaching into the fridge for a chocolate diet soda and whatever the jicama had evolved into almost bit your finger off... ;-)

vicki!...congrats on getting below 220...you are much lighter than me again!

hang in there, chris...you've lost a lot of weight and your body is just fighting you right now...it'll give up soon...

artemis, i dread doctors for that reason...you can have made a lot of progress and they judge you on the snapshot they see in their office...they're trying to help, but it can be demoralizing...good for you for explaining the situation...

i would donate quite a bit of latinum to be below 220

purposeful and consistent weight loss is not a natural function of your species or mine. we have built in mechanisms to prevent that, because our bodies think we are starving. there is no mathematical equation for weight loss. my vlc experiment may be successful, and may not be. Let us all focus instead, on enjoying the holidays. btw, I enjoyed the 3rd and last piece of lc cheesecake last evening. ergo, it WAS a 10 gram day. this is fine. however, the final portion was 3 weeks old. in the future, I will buy 1 portion less, and confine it to 2 weeks instead of 3. it was a little chewy. I am learning not to eat all my lc goodies at once. I still have 1 loaf of the lc bread in the freezer, and a few slices (there are 20 to a loaf) in the fridge. I hope my concentrated pistachio drops get here before New Years. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

You know what sucks? Making 6 dozen cookies and not eating even 1. My Maw's cookies, Bon Bons, melt in your mouth soft cookies with surprises in the middle. This time were Maraschino cherries, peppermint Kisses, or chocolate and peanut butter chips. I even color code the icing to what's in the middle, gotta know what you're eating! I wouldn't call them cookies, they're not flat.

Two days of cabbage soup and I'm over it. Today for lunch will be leftover Mexican, dinner will be burgers.

Only 1 day of school this week for the kids, both are exempt from exams. Did I already mention this? If you get all A's and B's and miss 2 days or less for the semester, you don't have to take them.

The old man and I both took next week off of work, although I need to go in for 4 hours on Thursday. I don't want someone else doing the first of the month checks for my clients, it's a pain, but I mostly want to make sure they're done right.

next time you cook for others, Chris,

have some low carb goodies at your side. why put yourself at risk? I just ordered the ROCKY MOUNTAIN TUMBLER. it is 30 oz. it keeps hot liquids hot for 12 hours, and cold things cold for 24. I should have it by the end of the week. I will settle for Xmas or New Year's eve. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

so far today...

I had a container of chicken soup. that was about 1 pm. at about 4 pm I finished 1/2 pint of tuna salad, scooped up with my last stalk of celery and some pork rinds, washed down with coffee, unsweetened. carbs so far is 1. I LOVE celery, to an equal degree with broccoli. I checked to see if I could get the movie "Peter & Paul" with Anthony Hopkins as Paul. my computer hit into a virus with a voice saying it was a pornographic site. so now the Acts of the Apostles is porn? I shut my computer very quickly. I waited a few minutes, and turned it back on...and voila! all was fine. ordinarily I have to wait a whole day. who said there are no miracles? ONCE AGAIN, I CHANGED MY PLANS!

after I ordered the ROCKY MOUNTAIN TUMBLER ,i misplaced my pre-paid card. until I find it, I am staying home. so, I cancelled my transportation into the city. I hope I find before Friday. meanwhile, I just finished 1/2 Lilliputian chicken. another pint of chicken soup, and a taste of spinach. I still have 3-5 net grams of carb left. IF I consume the last 3 sesame cookies, that will be an add'l net 4.5 gr of carb. I am making no commitment at this juncture. Love & Profits: FLAT(it ain't easy being me)FERENGHI

THE 3 COOKIES WERE REALLY 2.

so my total carbs for the day were 5 net carbs, if my math is right. the 2nd cookie was broken in half. it looked like 3 in the box. I hate being so lazy, but it feels so good. am confident I will find the missing card sometime today. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

After being sick last week, I lost 5lbs. I just had no appetite at all. Why can't it be that easy every week?! I hope to keep losing until Christmas.

All kinds of goodies today at work. The Secret Santa left me sunflower seeds, coffee, 6 different scents of hand lotion. The group in the other office gave me a coffee mug, says Rise And Shine, and was filled with low carb candy. (I ate 1 too many and paid the price)

Thing 2 has a Christmas band concert tonight. Remember the kid that plays the piano, creates his own songs, but I think can't sing well? His dumb @$$ tried to buy weed at school. The short chubby principal can run! So we don't have to listen to him.

No clue on dinner.

tomorrow WINTER BEGINS

I still do not know what time it will be. I hope I find out before beddy-bye. so far today, I consumed the 2/3 container of sauceless boneless ribs, left over from yesterday, with some hot Chinese mustard. I ate it cold. I also had 1 tsp each of natural PB, and sugar free razzberry jam (both Smucker)between2 slices muenster cheese. afterwards, I noticed that there was 3/4 slice of cheese as the top slice of the remaining part of the pkg. I am counting 3 gr net carbs for the aforementioned. 2-4 gr remaining. how shall I spend them? stay tuned for the next episode. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

checked the web for tartar sauce carbs.

per 1 Tblspn serving (depends on the brand-I checked 3 brands): 2 gr carb. ergo, less than 1 gr for 1 tsp, and 1/2 gr for 1/2 tsp. works for me. I ordered 1 broiled salmon dinner, PLUS 1 portion salmon a la carte. gonna have 2nd portion for bkfst, tomorrow. of course it incl soup (noodle free chicken soup), and roasted broc in butter and garlic. I only wish people on any food plan can enjoy theirs as much as I enjoy mine. when I make the decision to return to 20 net grams, probably when I get below 200 lbs (June 21?), it will be like the Emerald City. estimated carb total for today- 5 net grams. I will barely taste broc. saving it for tomorrow. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

Hurry up Friday at 4pm!! I'll then be off work for 11 days with a 4 hour exception. Only because it's important and I wanna make sure it's done right. No plans, just a staycation.

Today is sf seeds, breakfast for lunch, burgers for dinner.

Thing 1 went deer hunting this morning, saw the buck the old man grazed. He couldn't shoot it, already tagged a buck this season. Would have been funny if he could, teach the father how it's done.

And I still need to Christmas shop. Which goes right along with the tree that was put up a few days ago and still isn't decorated!

Well, I was enjoying these sf seeds right up to the point of reading "produced with genetic engineering." Don't get me started! Not my usual brand, my Secret Santa got them for me.

First day of winter. Four days to Christmas. I need to finish shopping. I don't want to!

i was supposed to go out today.

I did not. this means that I will send my Xmas card to earth bro and sis-in-law express mail. I want it to be under the tree on Xmas eve. I also repent of my decision to order the porterhouse tonight. I will have the pork chops. I will make my own porterhouse on New Years Day. In addition to winter beginning today, it is also 40 years that I bought my Hitachi semi-automatic turntable. I know it is the 2nd 1/2 of December, because I moved in here in the 1st 1/2 of the month. as it took a week or so to get fully settled in, today seems about right. I will play something in the baroque period of music to mark the occasion...Bach? Handel? Vivaldi? Scarlatti? I will flip a 4 sided coin. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

if it is any consolation, Chris, i am going shopping today.

I am sure it's gonna be a mob scene. that is what I get for procrastinating. however, I am feeling pretty good because I ate only 1 pork chop. I decided that if I got hungry again I would make some egg salad, and scoop it up with some pork rinds. I did not get hungry. after shopping I will fix p.c. #2. I am sure we shall have a great Xmas, BECAUSE we thought ahead, and got ourselves low card goodies to offset what everyone else is having. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I'm taking low carb sides to the in-laws, I want something other than just ham. OH! I still have mashed cauli in the freezer! I'll take that and add bacon and cheese, it needed help. Plus the broccoli salad. And the not so low carb pumpkin roll.

And yes, I'll shop tonight. Can you tell I'm excited?

Came home to no power. The telephone poles are being replaced, they need to get with it, I'm getting chilly.

Amish store find of the day, a variety pack of cheese, 8 or 10 different kinds, dirt cheap. Looks like ends, about a half inch thick each. $2! Not sure of the weight, I didn't pay attention. I also bought cheddar and provolone chunks, maybe a pound each. Ran out of cash I spent it all at the chocolate candy store across the street from work.

sounds like it's gonna be a yummy Christmas.

today, I consumed a pint chicken soup, 2/3 container of sauceless, boneless ribs (they are really just strips of pork. but they are good cold too, as I discovered. 1/2 tsp natural pb between 2 slices of muenster cheese. and finally, tuna salad scooped up with pork rinds. total net carbs for the day rounding upwards is 3. I still have that other pork chop in the fridge, if the need should arise. otherwise it will be eaten tomorrow AFTER the afternoon opera: Le Nozze di Figaro-Mozart. I wonder where all the other HEWMONS are. I hope they check in soon. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

all dressed up and ready to go.

this lazy Ferenghi is actually sallying forth today (and don't call me Sally!). I see it will be a big caffeine today. I need to get my HN salami. I will try to be content with 4 slices per portion, instead of 6. salami, like tuna is now a luxury item. for what I pay for 1.5 lbs, I would have been able to buy 3 lbs, not too long ago. I will also try unsweetened almond milk. also, Waist Watchers chocolate soda. I also need some non-food items. but most important, I need to walk the aisles, for exercise.
