I think fasting 20 hours a day most days is really helping. Plus no hunger.

Sept 1 - 319.8
Oct 1 - 305.0 so September loss was 14.8 lbs which, since I fasted for 11 freaking days and still weigh so much and never cheated, I think is CRAP. But alas, I, still happier to be down than up. Just don't understand what is going on with the scale for the past two weeks.. I'm just stuck.

But yay.. new month.. Welcome October!
Goals for the month: Egg fasts Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
Walk the kiddies to and from school and not wimp out with driving.
Lose 15 lbs, and in a magical world even make it to 280's ( I'll accept 289.9)
Never see 300's ever again!

Still on the Fast 48 until noon today! All good!

My September loss was -4.2. Doesn't that sound better than saying I gained 4.2 pounds, lol? It could have been worse, so I'm okay with it. October, however, is going to be different. I'm not going to set a weight loss goal per se, but I am setting the goals of being a perfect food tracker and being all keto all month with no cheats no matter what.

You guys gotta try this. I had it at my DD's and it is FABULOUS!! Her family had it over fettuccini and Sheri and I had it over steamed cauliflower. She used raw chicken breasts, cut in chunks and cooked. I'm going to try it with some rotisserie chicken breasts that I have in my freezer.

The Best Alfredo Sauce—EVER

Sauce Ingredients

1/2 cup butter
1 pint heavy whipping cream (2 cups)
4 ounces cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup grated parmesan cheese

Sauce Instructions

In a medium saucepan add butter, heavy whipping cream, and cream cheese. Cook over medium heat and whisk until melted. Add the minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Continue to whisk until smooth. Add the grated parmesan cheese.

Bring to a simmer and continue to cook for about 3-5 minutes or until it starts to thicken. Toss it with your favorite pasta…or serve over cooked cauliflower or cauli-rice!

Chicken Alfredo
Cut chunks of chicken. If raw, cook in large skillet until done. Or use chopped rotisserie chicken. Add chicken chunks to the Alfredo Sauce and stir. Serve over pasta OR cooked cauliflower or cauli-rice.

Even though I'd surely like to, I doubt I can lose another 10# this month. But I like really Bloodhound's goal! So I'm just copying that. I sense a better month for you this time around!

I intend to tweak my carbs DOWNWARD just a skoshe, and my fats UP! October is 100% KETO, 100% of the time and all my eating in a 4 hour window. The Fast 48 must continue also.....at least through October...if I'm gonna lose much more belly fat. I will weigh and report every day possible.

GOOD TO SEE SAMMI BACK!! Others have been discovered as AWOL recently. No need, for that!

Come baaaack!.....

I missed the Green Day Guy reference somehow. Is it from a movie?

Thanks for starting this thread, Laura!

Bronwyn, Susan, Holly, Charlotte.... Great work!

Judy this is your month! Ima try your Sauce! Thanks for the recipe!

Michael, you beat me again. (probably cheated...) Time for a trip to the local smoke shack down the street for some Q and Garlic Slaw....on me!!!

Terri! I'm so proud of you! And when it was hard finding motivation....what did you do? Huh?.... Well, you hung tough and kept coming back, time, after time, after time! Now....its TIME to reap the rewards!

Charlotte, it was hard to read your post from yesterday. I feel your pain. I knew you'd be disappointed with your bounce. At least I always am and its painful.

But I'm confident you benefited in other ways....you may not realize.

Here's to a great month, everybody!

Hey Ang! I haven't seen your Oct 1st post!

Looks like you are moving downward again (from yesterday's post) so show us whatcha got!

Its windy here, but I've got my smoker going again. Yummy Ribeyes, Organic Ground Beef Patties, Sausage Breakfast Links, and Smoked Brussels Sprouts. The Queen is showing our wares at a local Craft Fair, and when I go help her pack up and move stuff back, I'm gonna smell like a Pitmaster.

Do I care?!?!?!?

I've never smoked Brussels Sprouts before. It's an experiment. It takes about an hour @ 275, or so I've read. We'll see, but there's always bacon if they flop. You can add bacon to about anything!!

I made crackers and fat bombs for the week.

DH and I HAD to go out for steak today because he was celebrating reaching 1000 twitter followers. Oh gosh he loves his social media following. He's a dynamic teacher and tweets teaching stuff. He also tweets a lot about his school's sports. (he's a HS math teacher). The kids love him.

Susan I'm also attempting to do more fasting and I KNOW It makes a difference in weight loss.
Holly your stats are impressive! WTG
Terri I totally agree! This place keeps me on track and gets me BACK on track too.
Judy thanks for the recipe. I love using sauces on zoodles and I will definitely try this.
Sammi, good to see you!
Shannon, I get you. Keep trying...its there hiding somewhere.
Stan, thanks a bunch for asking! I'm doing well and on track. I'll take an order of smoked mean any day! Not so sure about the Brussel sprouts...

Yeah. The Brussels Sprouts were bad. (Threw most of them out) It wasn't so much that it was a bad idea, but that I pretty much just cremated them. I will just use a pan next time, because the taste of burned greens is stuck in my head and it'll take a while to forget. The Ribeyes were GREAT and the other stuff came out pretty good too....just not the Brussels Sprouts.

10/01/2017.. 198.4
10/02/2017.. 198.7

My Fast 48 turned into a Fast 45, and it FELT really baaaddd, like I was cheating. (I guess it WAS cheating, technically....) But it needed to be 45 hours because I ate sooo late on Friday. It was just poor planning on my part. Its in the past and I can't do anything about it now. I'll do better next time.

Off to the Gym now.

Later friends.....

Not a good way to start October. I really spread myself too thin this weekend. I had way too much going on and it threw me off my eating game.

I feel like crap this morning, and rightfully so because of what I ate. I'll just chalk this up as a reminder of what I felt like before Keto and move on.

Hope you guys are starting out better than I am!

Shannon, Cindy, you guys hang it there (and here!). . Things WILL get better eventually! Keep coming here and posting!

Stan, I hope that you are one of those people that are lifers here. There are only a few that I know of that have been here forever besides myself. Judy Parisfox and Shannon Groovygirlare two that have been here longer than 5 years. Also The Belly who we haven't seen in a while! YOU, sir are a huge inspiration and fun to read! I hope even when you reach goal, that you will continue to come here! It COULD be what makes your maintenance work!!

Happy Monday all!
