Thanks, Sharon. I started wearing a retainer to straighten out my bottom teeth and it's not comfortable to eat with it on. It's helped me to stop snacking between meals. I've actually been doing 16/8 intermittent fasting, along with JUDDD and I'm amazed I can do it!

My goal is to continue to maintain within my range of 100-108lbs, allowing for my usual excursions relating to pain management, muscle swelling, fluid shifts etc. Overall my goal is to maintain my body fat level somewhere between 20-25%.

Eating the way I am ... coffee and cream in the morning ... lunch around noon and dinner around 6:00 and eating nothing in between has been such an eye opener for me. My weight has been bouncing up (after UDs) and down (after DDs) for years. I wondered how everyone stayed on such an even keel with their weight. So question for all/most who are posting here at this time: do you avoid snacking between meals? ... just really watch your calories? ... totally fast on DDs (don't think I've ever done that)

I even went to a wedding this past Saturday night. In the past, I would have been getting into all the candy and nuts that were available the whole time the reception was going on, but this time I stuck to my plan.

Shirl, You might ask your question in Chat and get some answers. However, no matter what others say, you need to do what works for you! You are in good company because I believe it was Dr. Fung (could be Dr. Johnson, but think Dr. Fung) points out that in the 1950s - 1970, people ate three meals a day - period! No snacking and of course not much junk food at the time and there were very few obesity problems. I lived in those eras and know that's true. We had regular eating times too.

In today's time, I can see where it can be so hard for people because there are constant food ads on TV.

I so agree Sharss, there is just a constant stream of food advertising and no one thinks it unusual to eat huge muffin or donut with a cup of coffee between meals. And cups of coffee have doubled in size even if you order the regular size.

The reason I asked the question here is that so many who are posting are doing such an awesome job of staying on course and losing!

I lived in the 50s-70s, too, and remember that there wasn't the snacking back then. There were regularly three meals a day at set times. I was so thin, I was always trying to gain weight!
