IT'S SO SIMPLE....REALLY!!
Our JUDDD WOE is so simple......REALLY!!
It's eat one day and restrict calories the next day. No food restrictions unless YOU want them or not. Do it VLC, LC, Moderate Carb or Crazy Carb, it's up to you. It's not a WOE that needs to be over thought with time limits for UDs and DDs or concern of not getting the right amount of time in between these 2 days. It's not a WOE that makes you rearrange your life. It IS a WOE that fits most people because they can eat with family/friends/co-workers and still "fit" in, no special foods, recipes, menus UNLESS you want it to be that way. It IS a WOE that makes the scale bounce, that is a fact of JUDDD life, but after a while that "fact of JUDDD life" becomes just another thing that happens everyday for most of us and it's no big deal. It's NOTHING to be afraid of. Even those of us who added carbs back in may have gained a little bit of weight in the beginning but once our bodies realized that it could have carbs and still lose weight that being afraid become being overjoyed that you CAN eat that piece of cake and not just sit there and watch everyone else eat it. JUDDD is SO simple.......REALLY!! ![]() ![]()

IT IS SOOOOOOO SIMPLE. Guess that is why so many newbies want to overthink the plan. It just seems too easy and IT IS!!!

I love JUDDD and all the JUDDD BUDDDS! I had sat at 230#'s since last June/July, not being able to lose anything on Low Carb. I had lost down from 239 to 209 doing lo-carb, but when I quit smoking, I jumped up in weight very fast....and just sat there! Since beginning JUDDD on 2/9/12, I'm down to 219.2, and today is a DD, so hope to drop to a new JUDDD low this week. Beeb got me over here with her posts, but everyone here keeps me motivated!

Beeb...........been feeling your exact thoughts when reading so many posts with questions and frustrations and anxieties and on and on..........but did not dare feel qualified to put it into words as you did so well. (no one would take me seriously anyway!!) lol! To me, nothing could be easier, and that's exactly how I need it to be at this time in my life........and.....for the rest of my life! No need to complicate our already stressfilled lives! It actually is a big ol positive happy part of mine! I'll shut up now!

I'm bumping this because this is not a WOE that needs to be over thought and I get so concerned when I read post of people who are doing just this!
It's simple and effective, as it is! Just do it and enjoy the ride!! ![]()

I too worry about the over thinking that goes on from time to time. Just do the DD, UD rotation and watch the bouncing ball bounce lower and lower and lower.

Great post! I am reading so many posts about being afraid of trying this or that and it really is so simple as you said. All the angst and over thinking is just not necessary with this plan!!

Well said! I'm one of the ones who overthought it to begin with and am finding such a peace and satisfaction with the ease of this WOL. Can't be said enough.

Much needed post- thanks so much!
I am an overthinker as well....I am dreading the bouncy bounce BUT I am glad to know that it is normal. Does anyone get lucky and not have this side effect? I am going to re-read this all night; thanks for the inspiration! |

My weights don't bounce much. But I also don't do grain/sugar/potato carbs. (or at least not much of them). When I do let some in, I bounce more.

I have noticed now that I have been doing this for a while that I don't stress NEARLY as much!! I've been sick this week- just starting to feel better, and ended up doing a MD, used to be scared of that, but I now know that it's NOT a big deal!! Did my UD the next day, I know I won't have any problems continuing the rotation after that and if anything I may have prolonged my weightloss for what? ONE DAY???!?!?! Not a big deal in my book!
I like to follow the UD/DD rotation, don't wan't the same day every week and enjoy the straight rotation. But I no longer FEAR if I have to change days for an event... I had an extra UD Easter week- because that is what I needed!!! Back to normal now! And really didn't seem to affect my weightloss even with being so close to goal! I've added carbs in, Not very high amounts, and am surprised still that I seem to be losing pretty steadily! I know many have questions but you're right- try NOT to overthink and stress. Went over your DD limit?? That's OK! Have an UD the next day, then MOVE ON!! The rotation will always be there. The longer you do it the more comfortable you will be! I think the one reason we all stress so much is we are worried that it won't work! And many of us are serial dieters that "need" the rules and comfort of knowing what we "can and can't eat" the idea of being able to eat whatever we want within our calorie range (high every other day) is LUDICROUS!!! Hard to wrap your mind around it! I too was worried when I first began! 2 DD's in a row?? Is that ok?? And the answer is yes it is, but then get right back to normal rotation!!! I guess what I'm trying to say is YES this does get easier! I love all the support here and the great energy everyone contributes! I thank you all! Try not to overthink!!

I love JUDDD and it really IS that simple! My husband who dubbed this a "fad diet" when I was whining about being hungry last weekend called me from work all excited that he had only eaten 900 calories (I asked him what he had had and recalculated him up to 1200) but he was all happy. I asked him if he was going to do a DD tomorrow and he paused and said "but I won't be able to have my tunafish sandwich!" with him just cutting some of the total volume out of his diet will help....he needs to realize how much mindless eating he does.

Loving the idea of JUDDD b/c I won't be limited in what I eat, only when I eat! Love the idea! I think I can handle it. I know starting off eating carbs right out of the HCG Gate will likely make the scale JUMP but as I understand it will go down eventually!
I've mapped it out on my calendar and looks like all my outings/celebrations are on Up Days! Seafood dinner Saturday, cake at work Monday, BBQ festival Friday, Cinco de Mayo Saturday...Then I'll take a 5 day break for my vacation in mid May. I'm so ready for this!
