BBG I've been meaning to tell you your new picture is AWESOME. You are doing so great

Bejewel-are you happy you got your arms done? I mean if you could do it all over again, would you? My arms used to be really bad but I've started working out and they are tightening up a bit. I used to want them done really badly, but now, I think I want my stomach done. Not that I'll ever have the money to do either.

Laura-You look so good and so happy! We all look so much happier in our after pictures

OMG yes I am glad, so glad, I would do it again in a heartbeat, and even pay double that is how thrilled I am,the only thing would have been to wait til I was closer to goal but I wanted to heal before the wedding, I dont think the doctor really anticipated me losing another 40 pounds either, but he is going to do a touch up when I get my boobs done, I so cant afford the surgeries but he made me a good deal and my stomach is by far the worst area, but that is why I want to lose as much as I possibly can and keep working out hard so when I have it I am about where I want to be, I swear I cannot hit 198, its like for 2 months I have been so close, my bod is just not giving up. LOL

He made a collage of my pictures and printed them maybe I can take a pic of the pic and show you guys, it was 6 months ago and I was like OMG I cant believe I looked that bad, and having the skin off just made me push harder on the working out.

I love seeing everyone's success and I love knowing I'm a century clubber, too!

The first picture is probably 25 pounds shy of my heaviest and the last is where I am now...needing to dump the weight in my arms and legs mostly.

Deb, I see a difference, especially in the middle picture when compared to the first. The last one doesn't show you as much. I think you're doing great!

In 2005 I was going to get my tubes tied, I went to the pre-op and they said you are too heavy for our scale you need to go down to the loading dock to be weighed, I said um NO, and ran out and never did have surgery, so I was over 350 pounds, not sure how much over. So friends of ours had started Atkins, and told us about it, me and my ex husband started and lost 70 pounds each in about 5 months, went on a trip to Mexico, gained 17 in one week and then for 5 years I would start and restart never really sticking to it, got up to 325, and as low as 289. So last year on my son's B-day 9/27/10 I said I am going to do this no matter what, my current fiancee and I were talking about getting married, and I knew I couldnt ruin another marriage being so fat and miserable with myself, and he is skinny, people probably thought I was eating his food! I have never been thin, around age 9 I got my period and started gaining a lot of weight, I have not weighed less than 200 pounds since I was 13, and right now I am 1 pound away, and I just turned 43! I started and lost weight but refused to exercise, finally in Jan I said OK I will join the gym, well I ended up loving it and have become a gym rat!!! I also ran my first race, I could never run! I have a tough mudder 5K with obstacle in November that I am looking forward to! I get married 10/9, so it is coming up, never did I think I would lose 104 so far in less than a year! My advice is it works, if you follow it and listen to your body and what works and what doesnt! And exercise if you are not, 1 pound of fat is like 3 fists, 1 pound of muscle is 1 fist, so you will look better! I have not lost a lot of pounds in the last 3 months but I am wearing clothes that are so much smaller! I had a lot of arm skin, I will show you, I had my arms done in April, I lost 35 pounds since then and really started working out hard after I healed to get them in shape. I plan to have about 25 pounds of stomach skin removed next Spring if I can scrape up the money!!!!!
If I can do this anyone can! I never ever thought I would do it, get a journal, talk to people, find a support and you can do it!!!!

Amber
Amber, your transformation has been amazing! I also love how you shared the skin removal surgery picture with us, too. I think about that a lot because I'm going to have to do something with my arms and my legs and I would like to ask get a little bit off of my tummy, although that's not nearly as necessary as my arms and legs.

I'm doing it, too, and really, if I can get my act together and take the weight off, anyone can! I wouldn't have bet a plugged nickle that I could do it, but I obviously am. ...and it feels GREAT!

Diane suggested I post some progress pics so here they are. I started back in August of 2010, but I've made the most transformation in 2011 I think.

Here goes.

Starting Weight - August 2010 - 310lbs
Updated Weight - January 2011 - 250lbs

Updated Weight - June 2011 - 215lbs

Updated Weight - July 2011 - 205lbs

(Holding up a pair of my size 40 jeans that I used to struggle to fit into)

Updated Weight - September 2011 - 180lbs

(Progress pics of me at various weights and now)

I started at a hefty 310lbs, wearing a tight 2XL t-shirt and very tight 40W jeans. I am currently 178lbs and wearing a loose L t-shirt and some Medium ones and 32W jeans that are a little roomy, not snug, but comfortable. I have eight more pounds to before I hit my goal weight and after that I plan to put on about ten pounds of muscle and then I'm good. This has been a long and sometimes very hard journey, but I am near the end of it and near the beginning of maintaining my weight for a lifetime. Hope to helps inspire some of you, I know in the past all the pictures I've seen have helped me so much.

Seth- you are a little skinny stud muffin are you beating the girls away with a big stick???
Your story is remarkable, you are already young and still look so much younger! You will see the biggest changes when you start lifting, the scale might go up alittle, but you will get ripped quickly!!!!

I never get tired of seeing success stories, it makes me cry every time, cause I know just how darn hard it is and how very life changing it is for everyone, that is the thing you cant describe how it changes your very inner soul in such a better way!

Yes Ma'am. I'm 47 and I have a little granddaughter that is about to make 2.

If you saw this picture full sized you'd see the crows feet and other unsightly lines under my eyes. I get told a lot that I don't look my age, but I can't pull off 30 years old anymore either. Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate it.

That's a great sentiment. It's so true.

You look really fabulous guys, a real inspiration to everyone starting out. You send out the message-no matter how hard it seems, or how much you have to lose, it can be done! You just have to believe it!!

You all are such an inspiration!!!!

I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes thinking of all the times I've stopped and started this WOE and my weight yo-yoed This time around it more about the journey, getting healthy and figuring out with I sabotage myself.

Thank you for posting your pics.

While I have a tad under 100 lbs to lose (86 lbs) I'd love to hang out on the boards with you wonderful peeps.
