Hi! I read this entire thread and found it very interesting. Is anyone still using the Ketocana?

Personally, I'm not because lately I've had an easy time staying on plan. I have some reserved for a half marathon I signed up for.

10 sizes lost, 1 or 2 to go!

Not sure yet

I have tried one scoop of KetoCaNa on three different days now and have noticed NOTHING. Is there something wrong with me? My ketone readings do not change at all after taking the product. I have taken my reading before, one hour after, two hours after, and five hours after. At most my reading fluctuated by .1. Could this be because I am taking it with a meal or because I need more than one scoop for my body size? Could it be related to my ketone meter? I thought I felt more energy and focus the first time I took it, but that could have been placebo effect. Thoughts?

Lately, I have been testing my ketones with the NovaMax, but I also own the Precision Xtra. I heard Jimmy Moore and others discuss the negatives of the NovaMax, but I decided to try it due to the lower price of ketone strips. Interestingly, I have never got a "Lo" measurement from the NovaMax, so maybe they have updated the features. However, it does seem to give me lower reading than my Precision Xtra. I have been in the .4-.9 range with the NovaMax for the past two weeks. I am guessing that it measures about .5 lower than the Precision Xtra, but I will be able to determine for sure in a few days when I get more Precision Xtra strips from Canada and test them side-by-side.

Just IMO.
I never tested with a meter on the CaNa, just the urine strips.
Perhaps (just thinking here lol don't quote me on it) it's because this is a "forced" ketosis, it's not getting into your bloodstream?

Possibly it will take longer? Since you bought the canister, I'd suggest going a full week or two before testing and see if it just takes time to work it's way from "faux" ketosis to helping your body get into "true" ketosis.

As much as I love the eatsmart scale, I've now bought 3 in the past year and they have all gone bad really fast - won't set on a weight, and if you step on and off five times, you get 5 different weights.
The first one I got lasted a couple of years, but these new ones seem to be poorly made.
Dottie, I recommend the old clunky medical scale. They can be easily calibrated and are almost always the most accurate.
