I think people fall off when we create new monthly threads because when you post once to a thread you're subscribed so even if your gone for a month you'll still find the active thread in your subscriptions. Just a guess but something I noticed that's why I made the Jan thread just "2018" instead

G’day to all~ this is my DUI checkpoint!
Slow, but sure, getting it done. Down another pound last week, down 22 pounds of a 32 pound re-gain which I got back on track the day before Turkey day.
I want 11 more; looks like it will take me 2 more months. Then I will be walking a tightrope.
Why is balance in life, so difficult?
Everyone have a good & successful week. ♥️

You didn't, by any means Just explaining why I renamed the January one once Feb came instead of creating a new one. This is fine, just not sure if everyone who was on the old one will make it over here. I just hate to see people "fall off"

I've been facilitating all day workshops so haven't had much chance to check in, but I'm still plugging away. I've been doing a low FODMAP trial, so far it's going REALLY well. For the first time in the last month my pain and bloating have been rare if at all, and usually can be tied directly to food (ie. the app said most people could tolerate 1 tbsp or less of coffee creamer in decaf chai tea, I am not one of those people, so easily corrected with almond milk). I was at 173 Monday when i weighed. I am only recording once per week on Monday morning, but still weighing every day - bouncing up and down from 174 to 173 and back. But not being in pain, bloated and gassy is a HUGE win for me right now. And I accidentally tried on the wrong pants yesterday that were size 12 and they fit. Not super flattering but they fit

Cynthia ~ that sounds like progress to me !! Trust me you will get to your best self. Whatever you perceive that to be,not any one persons'opinion but, YOURS.

I'm not in a very energetic mood but, I do have some spring cleaning , the kind that gets put off like, Forever .Sorting papers , going through clothes for goodwill ,moving winter clothes and replacing with summer clothes. If only it stay one or the other , we keep getting cold snaps ......

As of tomorrow my birthday is 4 weeks away and I am motivated to keep trying to lose some more. This month I was not as good at tracking my calories as I was the few months before, but these last 4 weeks I want to track every day again. I don't even care if I lose 2lb or 20lb (ya right haha) as long as I know I am doing my best and will feel good turning 40.

Mary~A 40th birthday is definitely a. Milestone and a big motivation to really put you best effort in.I know that you can do this !! I may. try to make a trip to see my best friend in NOLA
In May depends on finances cause I have a cruise in the fall.I would love to be 20lbs lighter by then so that IS MY big MO Even if I don't make the trip in May I still want to get to goal by then so starting Monday , I will go to the gym.3 times a week as well as PT 2 times a week so it shouldn't be that hard to get to goal..Fingers crossed for the both of us.

How are you gals doing ??? Hope you are staying on track .The secret I think is to get yourself a big WHY and stay focused on tthat when you're about to crash and burn. I find that is The best motivation for me. Hugs to all !! Toodles

Carb accountability checkpoint!
Had a bit of a struggle this week with boring menus.
Ate wheat thins, twice this week and made a sugar free cake that I doctored up with SF banana pudding mix as I have been wanting banana bread. Carb intake about 50 grams a day. Up one pound.
Lean mean and green this week, let’s see if I can take off two pounds and get under the 210 barrier.
HOW LOW CAN YOU GO, LIMBO!
Hope this finds everyone well and keep up the great work. Y’all give me inspiration.♥️

Hi everyone, I'm enjoying seeing this forum rebounding. I read, but don't post much, not sure why. I am still enjoying all the things WLS has brought me, particularly my obsession with bargain hunting clothes shopping. I'm getting ready for my spring break trip to Florida in a couple of weeks so I'm trying on warm weather clothes. So far, so good. I did see a precipitous gain this fall on top of some rebound gain that I could accept. I went to my clinic and they were very helpful. Not back to my lowest weight, not sure if I ever will be, but got rid of the sudden gain and continue to hold my own. And my clothes still fit, which means in my mind, it's all good. So, after 5 years, I can still say with all sincerity, I my sleeve.

peeps !!

Mary~ Sorry to hear that you are under the weather. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Well I've made it to the gym 2 times to the gym and PT twice still, I've got one more
time to get to the gym this week. I can say I'm as sore as all get out. My body just gave out and I overslept and missed my appt but ,they were able to fit me in later today. Geez I felt like a truck ran over me and backed up and ran over me again!! Well with all this extra energy expenditure this month I am so hoping to be under 140 come April 1st ! Crossing my fingers and toes for me and everyone to make their goals this month. I do notice though that I am getting into some smaller clothes that I've had tucked away. My hubby says:Is that new?? LOL I haven't fit into them in like 5 yrs. Needless to say I got a lot of clothes to go through for Goodwill.Whew what a chore but,a good one.

Mary~congratulations on your loss, that is great. I know that you wish that it could have been more but, at least it's going down .Slow but ,sure wins the race.

My big project for today is to get in my closet cuz I can't stand it anymore. I will leave only a few things out that is warm so that I can switch out winter clothes for the summer clothes. This time of year is hard because it goes hot to cold hot to cold. A few days ago the low in the morning was 40 degrees now it is going to be 85 for the high... anyway I'm going to be a Busy Bee. I hope everyone has had a good weekend so far. Toodles

Hi Ladies..
I just wanted to say HI and sorry that I have been absent. I crashed and burned..regained..crashed and burned again... am back on track now though. Fighting the gain I experienced in the crashes and burns-regained 6 pounds.

Joy-sorry you are hurting and hope things are going good now. Good for you for the PT and working out and that your clothes are fitting. KUTGW!

Cynthia-glad the bloating is less and that you found a way to figure things out. Congrats on the size 12 fitting! woohoo!

Harriet/Kathy-good to see you/hear from you. Keep fighting the good fight!

Jessie-glad things are going well in getting the sudden gain off. Hope your trip is fun!

Hi to everyone else out there.

Thanks, I am better... still have congestion but not feeling sick anymore and haven't had a fever since last Weds.

I have an upper GI on Monday next week to see if my esophagus is healed again. I switched from Nexium to Pepcid and it wasn't strong enough to control my stomach acid plus I have a hernia, so they put me back on another PPI. The doctor emailed me this morning that she wants to talk to me about future treatment because PPIs are not good to take long term. I don't want to go back on Pepcid and repeat this in another year or two. I will ask about hernia repair even though it doesn't always work.

Mary~I had awful GIRD before WLS .I HAD a hital l hernia they had to fix that be for they could do do my sleeve.Ihave haven't had any problems with reflux Since I have osteo arthritis etc etc etc... I have to take meloxicam so I have to take protonix to keep me from tummy problems , so far as so good. Is your Dr going to repair the hernia ? I would think they would be fore it gets worse.

Hey where is everyone???? Ok I hope all is well with every one. Well my day of reckoning is close at hand. April 1 st is my weigh in day I can only hope I will be under 140 but, realistically its been going like 5 lbs a month so if that happens I will be around 143. I hoping for a miracle I guess but, it would be freaking fantastic. Ok Easter is fast approaching so stay away from those baskets ladies , I know for me it wouldn't be one or 2 jelly beans ,speckled malted ball , I would leave a trail of wrappers behind me. So I'm not falling off the wagon for a few minutes of pleasure for lbs literally of regret. Ok peeps don't eat the Peeps !! LOL

Hey-I've been out of town-celebrated my birthday and did not stay low carb.

Hope you are doing well Mary. What did the DR. say?

Joy I hope you get awesome news on the 1st and stay strong. I have not bought any easter candy so I am staying far away from the temptations of the EB and his basket.

Happy Easter, everyone!

Happy birthday! Mine is in just over a week

My ulcers healed but I still have the hernia and gastritis, the gastritis is not as severe but still there and I am caught between taking medicine that is not intended to be taken long term, or ending up with ulcers again. Hernia repair is not recommended for someone my age, since she says it is expected to last max 10yr, and on top of that since I had VSG there is not the tissue needed to sew as they do in the current gold standard method.

Pescacat ~ Happy belated Birthday Well ok birthday over I hope its not too hard for you to jump back on the wagon. I am glad that you decided not to have Easter candy in your house good choice!!! Its amazing as long as I don't eat bad carbs I don't crave them but, boy don't let me eat toast or anything and I'm off to the races. I hope YOU had fun on your trip ,

Mary~ what a bummer not being able to have it fixed. You are right about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Ok ladies have a great Easter and RUN from the Easter Bunny!!! We got this

Well getting on the scale wasn't a good idea for me , I'm up 2 lbs!!! Admittedly it threw me for a loop. I didn't get too crazy with my eating but. I wasn't as strict as I was so, no more scale for me .. I'm just going to go by how my clothes fit.

I hope everyone starts posting more , it's been a little too quite in here.HAGD EVERYONE!!!
