My goals are:
To clean out the slider foods, carbs (bye bye Wheat Thins)
Cut down on any alcohol intake
Increase protein, veggie intake
And...do some introspection as to why I had WLS to begin with, recomitting myself to ongoing weight loss and health.

I Ditto every thing you guys have said so far.My therapist said regarding self talk, stop lying to yourself . for instance I won't ever lose this weight. You know you have lost be for and you will again .etc. one day at a time ,for me it is one meal at a time.

My goal for this month is to get myself and my house ready for my surgery on April 8th. I'll start a reduced calorie/high protein diet in 2 weeks as surgery prep. I also need to get freezer meals made for DH and my MIL for while I'm gone for a week post op.

I am here.

My goals this month are to stay on track, clean eating, and some exercise.
I am motivated after taking before pics! Upsets me that I gained some weight but downward we go! I won't give up and I am going to get back down again. I weigh-in in 2 days.

How is everyone else doing?

Since 1/1/15 I have lost over 18 pounds. I was on a mini vacay and had a slip-up for a few hours, but I am BACK!!!!! I also went to Torrid today and bought some sick clothes!!! Love them. Size 14s and their size 1's and I think a 0, too. I haven't weighed in for a while (I'll weigh in this coming Sunday), but I know I look and feel so much better than I did a few months ago. I have about 20 pounds to go to get to my lowest weight. To do it I will keep walking (usually 5 days a week) and I'll be eating super carefully. My goal is to get back to 183 (182, actually, is my goal now) by my last day of work this school year, which I think is June 5th. I'M DOING IT!!!!

Preparing for surgery.. I have 5 days to go.. I'm excited/nervous and just trying not to think about it right now.

Anything I should do to prep? I've been cleaning the house, and getting everything ready to go! I'm ready for it to be over. My surgery is the first surgery and I have to leave my house by 330am.

Give me your best advice.

I know to: walk as soon as possible and as much as possible. My surgery is Wednesday and I hope to come home Thursday, but my PA told me to plan on two nights in the hospital. My Mother is keeping my kids, and my husband is staying with me or possibly at his sisters (she lives about 10 miles from the hospital).

My plan is to try to walk at least an hour a day when I get home (or as much as I can, in smaller increments). I will be working at home on my laptop for 2 weeks..

You're welcome! Actually got correctly fitted for bras there, too, which conceal at least some of the weird side boob thing I have going on. I was just there again tonight and was able to get myself a shirt and my daughter a few shirts and a dress that are young and cute. Next time, I intend to try on a few bathing suits. I am loving that store.

Way to go, Krissy! I know how hard you had to work for that loss!
I am here in the trenches with you, but loving the results I am seeing.

Good morning everyone. I was just going through my old (2011) Amazon orders and some of the things I saw brought me back.... I wish I could recapture the feelings of hope renewed, joy, enthusiasm, determination and viciousness I had at that time (after significant loss but still less than 2 years post surgery). Ah, the honeymoon phase. At least I know I savored it while it lasted.

Monkee - I'm right there with you, girl! Every pound is a huge effort - but very worth it. I am finally fitting into most of my clothes and people are noticing. Best of all, I feel much more confident and even - dare I say - a little sexy again. As of last Sunday, I still have 19 more pounds to lose before I'm back to my lowest...and I want to lose 8 more pounds after that. Keep fighting, Monkee!!!! We can do it!

Hi-
I've been lurking because my birthday was Monday and I was not low carbing at all. I still need to freeze or donate the rest of the two birthday cakes I was given (people were well meaning...just not helpful) I had gained up to 300on the scale but now I am down 8 pounds so it wasn't all bad.

Welcome to the new folks and HI to everyone. Congrats on the successess and losses people are achieving. I will do better about posting and not lurking. I hope to start walking on a regular basis as soon as the rain lets up here. Hope everyone has a good day!-Pescacat (Laura)

How many times a day are those of you far out eating? I have half a protein shake coffee OR coffee and a breakfast-y item, a snack, lunch, another snack, dinner. Sometimes I'll have a treat like decaf coffee or choco perfection. still can't eat much at once (thank goodness) but I get hungry if I don't eat something every few hours.
