How long did it take you to get into Ketosis?

I'm on day 5 and just did a test strip. It shows only a trace. I read 2-10 days is average, but I'm curious to see how everyone else did? Is it gradual?

I'd say it's easier to get into ketosis if you're fasting for part of the day. It took me 2 days eating one meal a day keto style.

Don't put too much trust in those urine strips. They often give false negatives and can only tell you that you have been in ketosis in the near past. It is probably better to judge by how you feel.

It took me about 3 days to get into ketosis .

Trace means you are in ketosis.. Some members don't ever get to deep purple.. Plus the ones with trace lose just as well as people with the darker strips.. Don't worry.. Just watch the scale and how your clothes fit. Even if the scale doesn't go down as fast as you would like, your clothing may be getting looser.. and that is even better because that means your weight loss is showing!!!

Hi. This is day 13/365 for me. I noted after 5 days when I tested myself in the morning, that it showed a trace of pink! I'm not worried if I never reach the purple zone.

Thanks Cheri for sharing!

I use those urine test strips. I have found that testing late at night, around 10:30 or so makes a huge difference in my readings. In one day I go from a trace to deep purple at night. You might want to try different testing times and then stick with the one that gives you the best reading.

It takes me about three days to get into ketosis.

I'm a serial keto eater. In a previous attempt I bought a Ketonix breath meter. I did not check until the 6th day and on the green-yellow-red spectrum that it uses I blew a red. So, I'm guessing I was probably a little into ketosis by day 4 or 5 to blow that strong a reading in day 6.

2 days for me to get into ketosis

but I have to keep it under 30 total carbs to get there, otherwise it takes longer.
